The Federal Introduces New Veggie-Friendly Lunch Menu

Vegetarians rejoice: The Federal, Food, Drink and Provisions has introduced a new veggie-friendly lunch menu for patrons to enjoy. The special limited-run menu, which launched last week, will only be offered through July 31 and focuses on tasty plant-based options that reflect Chef Cesar Zapata’s own vegetarian eating habits.

The Federal typically offers only brunch and dinner service, but it is now opening for lunch Thursdays and Fridays specifically for this menu. Between noon and 3 p.m. on those days, guests can stop by to try out the new daytime dining options.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

Federal Bowl – mixed grains, collard greens, spiced seeds, tofu steak, crispy sweet potatoes, turmeric tahini sauce
“Tandori” Carrots & Asparagus – charred onion puree, raita, biskit crumbs
Crispy Cauliflower Tacos – Tabasco Green Buffalo, pickled carrots & celery, blue cheese cream
Brussels Sprout – watermelon radish, green apples, poppy seed dress
