Design District staple Oak Tavern recently closed its doors, leaving a huge hole in the neighborhood. Fear not: Oak Tavern is back for a special pop-up dinner at its Brickell sister restaurant The River Oyster Bar on Thursday, June 30.
From 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Pop Oak! attendees will get to enjoy menu favorites like the duck pizza and baked lamb meatballs. Here’s a look at the full menu:

In related news, The River Oyster Bar is staying put in its current location for at least three more years. After uncertainty surrounding its future amidst new construction and the demolition of nearby Tobacco Road, the owners inked a deal to stick around a little while longer. Guests will continue to enjoy oysters and other great mainstays, and they can expect new décor and new menu items coming soon.
