On Thursday, July 16, South Florida’s top restaurants, chefs and other culinary superstars will come together at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel for Taste of the Nation South Florida. The event will benefit the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, an initiative dedicated to ending childhood hunger.
From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., attendees will enjoy bites from close to 50 South Florida gems including FINKA Table and Tap, MC Kitchen, Quality Meats Miami Beach, Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill and Mignonette. Guests will also get a sneak peek at upcoming restaurants like Izzy’s Fish and Oyster, TALDE Miami Beach, Phuc Yea! and PB Station.
There’s plenty more going on besides food. There will be silent and live auctions throughout the evening as well as an interactive art display and a beer garden co-curated by Miami Herald food editor Evan Benn and Chef Bret Pelaggi.
This year features a new afterparty: Chefs on a Half Shell. Once the event ends at 10 p.m., VIP ticketholders have access to an afterparty hosted by Lure Fishbar Chefs Josh Capon and John Iatrellis. At the VIP event, unlimited prosecco and oysters will be the norm; the latter will be dressed by Chefs Conor Hanlon (The Dutch), Rod Chitikov (Devon Seafood + Steak) and Aaron Dreilinger (Aaron’s Catering).
General admission tickets to Taste of the Nation South Florida cost $125. VIP tickets cost $250 and include one-hour early admission to the event as well as access to the afterparty. Click here to purchase your tickets.
