Last Wednesday, The Dutch at W South Beach kicked off its annual BBQ series. The event, which is celebrating its fifth year, gives guests the chance to enjoy mouthwatering BBQ cooked up by Chef de Cuisine Adonay Tafur and notable local guest chefs.
The first 2016 installment featured guest chef Mike Pirolo of Miami Beach’s Macchialina. He, along with Chef Adonay and Pastry Chef Josh Gripper, treated patrons to a traditional Brazilian Rodizio Churrascaria: steak, sausage, chicken … you name it. All you can eat for just $40 — a great deal.
The series continues this week with a Thai/Korean BBQ featuring Xavier Torres of Drunken Dragon and Chef Phuket Thong of Cake Thai Restaurant. In the weeks to follow, John Iatrellis (Lure Fish Bar), John Gallo and Rene Reyes (Pinch Kitchen) and Steve Santana (Taquiza) will be behind the grill.
