In case you don’t know, Proof Pizza & Pasta is one of our favorite restaurants. When you have pizza and pasta in your name, those items better be good. And indeed, Executive Chef/Owner Justin Flit, Chef Malcolm Prude and the Proof team make some of the best in town.
Yesterday, it was our turn to be the chefs at the Midtown Miami restaurant. The eatery closed for the night and gave guests the opportunity to try their skills at cutting different pasta shapes, including tortellini and tagliatelle.
The demo started with Chef Flit explaining the care he and his staff takes in crafting Proof’s signature pastas. After showing us what the different pastas were supposed to look like, we started cutting and filling our pastas accordingly. By the end of the evening, we had multiple plastic bags filled with pasta to eat for later.
All that prep made us work up an appetite, so Proof capped a memorable evening with three pastas for attendees to gorge on: tagliatelle bolognese, a sweet corn tortellini and an agnolotti with burrata and shaved black truffle. Yes, they were as delicious as they sound.
