Gin lovers have a new place to enjoy their beloved spirit: Gin + Collins. Located inside AC Hotel Miami Beach, the stylish bar features tasty twists on the classic gin and tonic alongside other fun craft cocktails and bar bites.
Here’s a closer look at a few of the selections.
Head Bartender Nikos Mantzaridis oversees the Gin + Collins drink program, which offers guests six different takes on the namesake libation. The bar’s trademark drink — The ACGT — is a refreshing mix of Bombay Sapphire East and Gin + Collin’s own AC Tonic, which is a collaboration between Gary Hayward from Bombay Sapphire and Gary Gruver (Beverage Manager, Global Operations Marriott International).
Like orange? The Vilanova will hit the spot with layers of citrus flavors courtesy of its orange marmalade, orange peel and orange bitters. On paper, it might seem like overkill but all the fruit notes balance the drink’s Gin Mare and 1724 Tonic just right. Patrons not in the mood for gin have options like the Smoked Last Word, which puts mezcal at the forefront with green chartreuse, maraschino and lime rounding out the recipe.
All that drinking is bound to make you hungry, and Gin + Collins has you covered with tacos, tostados, tostones and other satisfying selections. Pro tip: Stop by for late-night happy hour from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday. Five specialty cocktails are available for $7, including classics like the Aviation and French 75.
Gin + Collins is located at 2912 Collins Avenue inside the AC Hotel Miami Beach on Miami Beach. For hours of operation and other information, visit their Facebook page or call 786-264-4720.
