The Battersea Pops Up at The Seven Dials

The Seven Dials is excited to announce a Summer Pop-up at the restaurant, just in time to watch England play in the World Cup! The Battersea will offer a classic fish + chip shop menu, bringing all the British chippy favorites to Miami and will be available at The Seven Dials through July, as an addition to the regular menu.

The star of the menu will be Fish + Chips ($16), using Corvina and house-cut fat chips, as well as an additional Catch of the Day Fish + Chips. Other main options include Scampi + Chips ($16), Battered Sausage ($9), a rotating Pie of the Day and Spicy Mushrooms + Chips ($10). Sides include Mushy Pea Fritters, Spice Burgers (an Irish favorite), House Pickled Eggs, and more! For dessert, we have everyone’s favorite: Fried Snickers Bars!

The Battersea will launch on Monday, June 18 to coincide with England’s first World Cup game and will be available during normal business hours and will run in addition to The Seven Dials’ regular menu through the end of July.

The Seven Dials serves lunch Mon-Fri from 12PM-3PM, dinner Mon-Sat from 5PM-10PM and Sunday brunch from 11:30AM-2:30PM.


Stubborn Seed Offers Bottomless Brunch

Top Chef Jeremy Ford, in partnership with Miami’s premier boutique restaurant firm, Grove Bay Hospitality Group (GBHG), opened the highly anticipated concept Stubborn Seed last September in the vibrant South of Fifth neighborhood at 101 Washington Avenue.

Now, the beloved Miami Beach hotspot has launched weekend brunch. Available a la carte Sundays from 11AM to 3PM, guests can indulge in season-inspired menu items sourced naturally, perfectly paired with a selection of elegant bubbly and specialty cocktails.

Crafted by Chef Jeremy Ford and his talented team, the rich menu – designed for sharing – features breakfast essentials like Stoneground Sweet Potato Pancakes ($14) with spiced pecans and Vermont butter; and Chai Waffles ($12) with whipped espresso cream and spiced syrup. Savory plates include Smoked Tennessee Pork Belly ($16) with crispy farm egg, frisée lettuce and truffle lemon vinaigrette; Mezcal & Citrus Cured Salmon ($13) with brioche and everything spices; Roasted Cauliflower ($15) with fried onions and garlic, sunny side up eggs and spicy crumbs; and Local Lettuce ($13) with scattered herbs, aged parmesan, crunchy bread and Meyer lemon.

For a little something sweet enjoy Ricotta ($8) with kumquat jam atop charred sourdough; Pastry Chef Dallas Wynne’s now famous Snickerdoodle Cookies ($8) made with brown butter, Valrhona Gianduja and cinnamon; and Organic Strawberry Doughnuts ($9) with passion fruit sabayon and pistachio. Additional brunch offerings to come.

The restaurant also offers bottomless mimosas and champagne for an additional $25 per person – something no brunch is complete without. Inventive cocktails include the Thyme Traveler ($18) with Bombay Sapphire Gin, Thai-chili infused elderflower liqueur, cucumber, lemon and thyme; Bloody Maria ($15) with Olmeca Altos Silver Tequila, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, tomato, sriracha, garlic and celery salt; and the Eye-Catcher ($18) with Tito’s Vodka, pineapple shrub, pomegranate, ginger, lime and cardamom.


Mama Tried Opens in Downtown Miami

The co-founder behind Purdy Lounge, Sweet Liberty & Blackbird Ordinary, Dan Binkiewicz and Mauricio Lacayo of The Bend Liquor Lounge are thrilled to announce the opening of their newest nightlife venture, Mama Tried.

Alongside nightlife veterans including Domingo Murillo of Sidebar Miami, Mama Tried is now open, a self-proclaimed upscale dive at 207 N.E. 1 st Street, in the heart of downtown Miami. Mama Tried offers a neighborhood haunt for locals and tourists whether they are looking for a quiet spot for happy hour or a rowdy late-night scene. The 2,250-square foot space will feature an island style walnut bar in the center under a mesmerizing sky ceiling featuring twinkling fiber optic stars.

Designed by Binkiewicz, the primary colors feature black, gold, dark green and burgundy echoing an old Vegas dive bar. Rounded leather banquets and high-top tables line the walls with seating for up to 65 including bar stools, while gold disco lamps hang from the ceiling. The bar doesn’t fall short on entertainment featuring an authentic Pac Man arcade game, digital jukebox, pool table, TV’s, and a hand- picked Bookleggers Library, the local nonprofit that supplies free books to the city of Miami founded and operated by Mama Tried partner, Nathaniel Sandler.

The cocktail menu will feature a mix of old classics and modern twists created exclusively by Sweet Liberty’s Tyler Kitzman. Happy Hour specials will range and be offered daily from 3PM to 8PM. A creatively curated food menu by former Miami Heat Chef Michael Jacobs will offer home-cooked childhood favorites including PB & J, Grilled Cheese and Bologna sandwiches amongst other hearty homemade bar bites, shortly after opening.


Alter Offers Summer A La Carte Menu

This month, Wynwood’s beloved Alter turned three and in celebration of the proverbial “what’s old is new again,” Chef Brad Kilgore will welcome back some of their classics from brunch and dinner with an “Ala Carte Retrospective” summer menu. The menu will be available throughout the season and will also include seasonal updates to reflect new menu items. Their creative five and seven-course tasting menus will also be available.

Some of the items that guests can expect include blue crab shumai, local maitake, duck breast, swordfish and chocolate curd.


June Happenings at Pisco y Nazca

New Bar Menu: Guests indulge in a new bar bites menu including delicious samples of the Causa de Pollo, Toston, Cevichito, Empanada de Pollo and more. The bar bites menu is available during “Hora Loca” Monday-Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

2-Year Celebration: On Friday, June 22, guests will celebrate two years in Doral with an all day half off Pisco Sours special! Guests are invited to join the Peruvian restaurant, indulge in authentic cuisine, and enjoy live music in the patio. One lucky guest will also receive a bottle of Cuatro G’s Pisco.

National Ceviche Day: Craving ceviche for National Ceviche Day on June 28? Look no further than your ceviche experts at Pisco y Nazca in both Kendall and Doral. Stop by all day for half off Traditional Ceviche featuring fish, classic homemade leche de tigre, cancha, choclo and sweet potato.


Pura Vida Partners With The Setai

The Setai, Miami Beach, an oceanfront oasis of tranquility amongst the energy of South Beach, is now offering a variety of Pura Vida’s freshly made, youth-boosting and nourishing superfood wellness shots and bottle juices. This is the first time the popular locally based health food café shares it products with a hotel. In efforts to continue providing guests with an unforgettable hospitality and dining experience, The Setai, Miami Beach has organized the partnership to allow guests to share a taste of the Miami favorite.

Known for their healthy shots and juices as well as their organic acai bowls, superfood smoothies and all day breakfast, Pura Vida is a staple in South Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood with an additional location in Coral Gables and an upcoming opening in Edgewater.

The famed and locally-sourced beverages are available in Jaya daily at The Setai’s Grand Breakfast, at their signature Sunday Jazz Brunch, at the hotel’s Ocean Grill restaurant and pool & beach as well as via in-suite dining for hotel guests and residents.


American Harvest Debuts Happy Hour

Weekdays just got a little happier at Grove Bay Hospitality Group’s (GBHG) home-grown, fast-casual concept American Harvest. The restaurant is thrilled to launch its new Happy Hour, where diners can indulge guiltlessly in made-from-scratch, delicious farm fare Monday through Friday, from 3PM to 7PM.

Guests can unwind at Happy Hour with half-priced wine, beer and coffee (regularly priced at $4-$7); including their refreshing Rose Frosé and White Wine Frosé made with all-natural, organic fruit juices – perfect for battling the summer heat (available only at American Harvest South Miami).

Plomo Celebrates 1 Year
