They say patience is a virtue. We’ve certainly had to show a lot of patience when waiting (and waiting) for Malibu Farm at Eden Roc to open. For years, we’ve been eagerly anticipating the day that this super-fresh farm-to-table restaurant would finally make its debut. It finally has — and it was worth the wait.
The indoor/outdoor venue is beautiful. You can’t help but feel healthy AF with an epic ocean view on one side and delicious organic bites on the other. The majority of the menu skews “clean eating,” with a few guilty treats along the way. First things first: drinks. Considering we’re “shredding for the wedding,” we forwent alcohol for a Watermelon Juice — a good call considering the 100-degree weather at the time (gotta stay hydrated). A bevy of other juices are available, and you should really consider getting one. Just sayin’.
A Burrata Fruit salad with mango made us realize how much we missed the seasonal fruit. If you’re a mango and cheese fan, you get the best of both worlds here. It also looked relatively healthy, so we felt proud of ourselves. Unfortunately, all that “wellness” went out the window with our Grass Fed Burger on a brioche bun and the Proper Rollatini #gimmeallofthecalories. Both were flavorful and filling, but it was the latter that really wowed us; the mix of smoked mozzarella and ricotta was heavenly.
Fortunately for our scales, Malibu Farm’s desserts are a little on the lighter side. The Ice Cream Sandwich with a salted caramel cookie came highly recommended by our server, and one bite was enough to tell us why. You can also get ice cream on its own; if you go that route, get the Saffron Ice Cream. It’s majestic.
Love great food with a view? Then you’ll love Malibu Farm. Just make sure to go at night or sit inside — Florida summers are no joke.
