Dolce Italian Continues to Impress

Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen. It’s not uncommon to stumble across one every block or so in the major neighborhoods across Miami. Which is why finding a good one can be difficult. We’ll make your decision simple: If you’re looking to make the most of your carbs, head on over to Dolce Italian for fantastic Italian fare.

We’re no strangers to this Miami Beach staple. We’ve written about Dolce quite a bit for the blog because, well, it’s awesome. The menu is extensive, so it’s best to try a little bit of everything. Following that approach, we started with some Roasted Beets and Goat Cheese (gotta get some veggies in). The fragrant dish is a light way to start your meal; you’ll be thankful you didn’t fill up early because the Sunday Gravy Pizza and Tagliolini Ai Gamberi are monsters. The former is a meat lover’s dream, and the latter is just a beautiful mix of refreshing flavors — the basil pesto and pine nuts complement the gulf shrimp and pasta well.

Those seeking something a little more decadent will want to dive in mouth first into the Risotto Alla Parmigiana. In our experience, risottos have been hit or miss (mainly misses), but Dolce Italian’s iteration is worth your consideration. There’s not much to it besides some short rib and wilted spinach, yet it tastes like something bigger. At this point, we were already stuffed but decided to press on with Ricotta Cheesecake. It’s on the smaller side, so we didn’t have to roll ourselves out afterward.

Each of our many visits to Dolce Italian has never disappointed, and this recent one was no different. The Italian eatery has been around for a while — no surprise there — and we expect it to see it around for years to come. With that said, go check it out sooner rather than later.

Dolce Italian is located at 1690 Collins Ave inside the Gale hotel on Miami Beach. For hours of operation and other information, visit their official website or call 786-975-2550.
