One-Night Only Collab Dinner at Azabu

The Den at Azabu Miami Beach is continuing their monthly omakase collaboration series with Chef Makoto Okuwa of Makoto Bal Harbour. He will be joining Azabu Miami Beach’s Chef Yasu Tanaka for a special one-night only dinner on Monday, October 28th in The Den. The dinner will feature an eight course tasting menu curated by the two talented chefs and is available for four different seatings at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for $220 person (tax and gratuity not included).

Parkinson’s Fundraiser at The Lincoln Eatery

Parkinson’s Foundation is jump-starting Miami’s social season with a star-studded culinary fundraiser taking place at The Lincoln Eatery in Miami Beach. The tasting event will feature gourmet cuisine and libations crafted by some of the nation’s top chefs as they unite to raise funds to invest in research to help the one million Americans living with Parkinson’s. Net proceeds support the cause to bring together the top medical professionals and researchers to dramatically change the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s.

Led by Honorary Chair Aarón Sánchez, and Co-Chairs Alison Herman and John Kozyak, the star-studded evening will honor two exemplary women living with Parkinson’s. Zarela Martinez is a chef/restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality who is credited with bringing authentic Mexican cuisine to the United States and Mindy McIlroy, president of South Florida commercial real estate powerhouse Terranova Corporation.

Delicious bites will be prepared by the nation’s most acclaimed chefs including Food Network star Aarón Sánchez; along with Stephan Pyles, James Tahhan, Sue Torres, John Mooney, and Miami-based Michael Schwartz and Richard Hales. Libations will be presented by Cocktails at The Lincoln Eatery and featured restaurants include: Chill-N, Manhattan Paletas, Marble & Rye, Smoke’d, TYO Sushi and XO Espresso Bar.

Tickets are available at Parkinson.org/market and are priced at $250 per guest; VIP tickets at $500 per guest provide access to exclusive VIP areas, gift bags and meet & greets with the the chefs. CBS4’s EMMY Award-winning reporter Lisa Petrillo will MC the night, music will be provided by Private Property Band and DJ Danny Stern and opportunities will be available for bidding in a silent auction.

 

$29 Executive Lunch at Seaspice

Miami Spice may be over, but Seaspice is still offering a lunch deal that makes mid-day fine dining less guilty and incredibly satisfying. Whether entertaining a client, enjoying quick power lunch with co-workers, or taking a solo lunch hour getaway, Seaspice’s world class cuisine and nautical waterfront and indoor dining is sure to elevate the lunchtime experience with a 3-course Executive Lunch menu for just $29.

Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., lunch goers can enjoy waterfront dining with dishes such as a Salmon Crudo with white truffle ponzu or the Maine Lobster Cappuccino. Entrée choices include Local Yellow Tail Snapper served with a citrus salsa verde, Wagyu Burger topped with smoked gruyere and truffle aioli, Shrimp Tagliolini, or for a light and meatless option, the Vegan Plant Bowl with yellow lentil, curried butternut squash, shaved Brussel sprouts, and Turkish Figs. For a very happy ending, satisfy your sweet tooth with a choice of Tres Leches or Lemon Mousse for dessert.

 

NOVIKOV Miami Launches Dim Sum Cart

As temperatures might be dropping, NOVIKOV Miami is heating up for the season. Starting this Sunday October 20th, the reputable international Chinese-Japanese concept will be launching one of Miami’s only dim sum trolleys. Growing off the success from their generous 3-course Sunday brunch ($23), the must-see Downtown Miami destination will also unveil a new line of siu mai dumplings offered from the stylish cart. Fashionable locals and visitors can pair their favorite dishes aside $23 bottles of Whispering Angel and $40 Louis Roederer Brut Champagne.

Just in time for cooler weather, guests can cherish the beautiful Miami surroundings while dining al fresco on the outside terrace, overlooking Biscayne Bay. During the Sunday trolley service, a cart will glide gracefully throughout the glamorous and high-energy dining room and terrace setting. Diners then can custom select their siu mai that will be prepared tableside and garnished with lavish toppings.

Additionally, Novikov will honor their Sunday dim sum menu ($23) which include dishes like a Hot and Sour King Crab Soup, Saffron and Sweet Corn Dim Sum, Kimchi and Wagyu Dim Sum, Crispy Peking Duck and Matcha Tiramisu.

After brunch, festive guests can head to the waterfront terrace to advance their weekend vibes. Every Sunday, ‘Sunsets on the Terrace’ will take place from 1-7 PM with serene St. Tropez inspired sounds by Jean Marc Halimi. During this new series, $23 bottles of Whispering Angel and $40 bottles of Louis Roederer Brut Champagne will be flowing and guests will be encouraged to order $8 cocktails and bites from a special ‘Sunset Hours’ menu. Dress code will be ‘Miami Chic.’

 

New Menus at Matador Room + Market at EDITION

From the culinary mind of Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges comes Market at EDITION, a food hall-inspired by the great century-old markets in Madrid and Barcelona which has an innovative new menu that all foodies are sure to love.

Chef Jean-Georges has spiced up the menu at Market with a variety of lunch and dinner items as well as some new cocktails. Guests can kick off lunch with a refreshing Endive & Pear Salad or new spin on the eatery’s popular Kale Salad now with Avocado and Sunflower Seeds. As an entree try the delicious new Shrimp Burger or Fig & Prosciutto Pizza. Head back for dinner and start off with the delightful Warm Three Grain & Mushroom Salad or Fresh Ricotta with spiced fig jam on grilled sourdough. As a main course we recommend the Butternut Squash Gratin or the Pan Roasted Grouper.

Guests can pair their meal with one of Market’s new curated cocktails. Fruit lovers can indulge in the Raspberry Lychee Bellini with frozen lychee pure, fresh raspberries, elderflower cordial, lime juice and La Gioiosa Prosecco or the Mother Of Pearl with Coconut milk, Matusalem Rum and lime juice. For those looking for something a bit stronger, we suggest the Heat Wave with Casa Amigos Tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice and agave syrup.

Matador Room, inspired by 1950’s glamour and known for its enticing and elegant offerings, is also introducing some new fall menu items prepared with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Guests can begin their meal by ordering some delicious small plates like the Shishito Peppers or Flying Pig Ham and Manchego Cheese Fritters. Can’t miss entrees include the Tomato & Arugula Calabrian Chili Pizza, Seared Black Bass and Roasted Maine Lobster.

 

Glenfiddich Dinner at BLT Prime

BLT Prime will serve as the host venue for an evening pairing dishes from executive chef Timothy Elmore
with several precious single malt whiskies on Wednesday, October 23, 2018. The four-course menu,
priced at $135 inclusive of tax and gratuity offers diners the chance to sample four distinctive single
malts from the exclusive Glenfiddich portfolio led by Brand Ambassador Tracie Franklin. The evening
gets underway at 7PM at BLT Prime at Trump National Doral, 4400 NW 87 th Avenue in Doral.

Irón Bier at Beat Culture Brewery

Beat Culture Brewery and Ironbeer have partnered to brew a beer inspired by the soft drink generations of people have grown up drinking.

Irón Bier, a limited release, was brewed and bottled at Beat Culture Brewery. The beer includes the original family recipe that has been a part of Ironbeer since 1917, and what makes the taste of the soft drink so unique.

The limited bottles of Irón Bier will be available at Beat Culture Brewery October 19th beginning at noon. The beer will be bottled to mimic the original glass bottles Ironbeer was first packaged in and will be sold in four-packs of bottles.

To celebrate the release of Irón Bier in true Miami fashion; Beat Culture will have a Caja China, some non-traditional Cuban side dishes, music by DJ Le Spam of Spam All Stars, and of course a pop-up shop by Martha of Miami.

 

Ladies Night at Bakan

Bakan Wynwood just kicked off “Margaritas and Señoritas,” their weekly Ladies’ Night. Every Wednesday, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Bakan will offer Margaritas for just $6 for ladies, as well as a special bites menu––oh! and ladies can enjoy all of that to the tune of an amazing female empowerment playlist…”Who run the world?”
