By now, odds are that you’ve heard of Proof Pizza & Pasta. The Midtown Miami restaurant has quietly made its name for itself since opening its doors almost one year ago. The Neopolitan pizzeria was most recently named Best Restaurant in Midtown/Design District by Miami New Times, adding to its long list of local accolades.

After experiencing the food and service for ourselves, we saw what the fuss was about. We just had to talk to Chefs Justin Flit and Matt Depa about the restaurant and find out their story. So we did.

Chef Cindy Hutson Opens Up About Her New Cookbook and Downtown Miami Restaurant


Earlier this year, Ortanique on the Mile Chef Cindy Hutson released her first cookbook From the Tip of My Tongue. The book features over 75 recipes that were inspired by the culinary superstar’s travels over the years.

In celebration of the book’s release, Chef Hutson has been hosting several fun events including cooking demonstrations and wine tastings at various locations across town. We caught her on the tail end of one of these events inside her Miracle Mile restaurant to talk about the book and her upcoming project Zest.
