When you think of wine country, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Odds are that you think of Napa and Sonoma. We don’t blame you: Those used to be top of mind for us, too – at least until we discovered Paso Robles.
Los Angeles, we love you and hate you at the same time. You’re an amazing city that reminds us of the best parts of Miami as well as the worst parts. The best: diverse people, beautiful beaches and lots of things to do. The worst: the horrendous, no-good traffic. Somehow, you have us beat in that department.
That West Coast vibe, though — that’s something we’ll never find in South Florida, and it’s something that keeps us going back to L.A. regularly. Our latest trip to the City of Angels was a short one; San Diego stole our hearts this time around. But while we spent just a day in Los Angeles, we still did a lot — and so can you if only have 24 hours.
Here are some of the highlights.
When we booked a flight to San Diego on a whim, we had no idea what to expect. After falling in love with Los Angeles and finding San Francisco “just okay” in 2016, we hoped that our sudden decision to revisit the West Coast would end up with us creating some fun memories.
That’s exactly what happened in last month’s trip. In fact, we created our biggest memory yet: We got engaged. But that’s another story for a different day. If you find yourself in San Diego, prepare to fall in love with the city.
