Since we last wrote about Mason Eatery, a lot has changed. Last year, the Midtown restaurant closed temporarily for a revamp. Much — but not all — of the casual diner fare is gone, and more sophisticated dishes have made their way onto the menu. As a result, diners get the best of both worlds.
It’s rare that we head down south from our Flagami abode. Going to places like Dadeland is a trek, and it really has to be worth our while for us to make the trip. However, all you have to say is “Barley” and we’re there. The American brasserie recently debuted several new menu items, and we had a chance to try quite a few. If you need a compelling reason to visit Dadeland, Chef Jorgie Ramos is giving you plenty.
