This past Friday, hundreds of hungry attendees wined and dined for a great cause at the Orange Bowl Impact and Excellence Awards (OBIEs). Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed unlimited samplings from over 30 restaurants as well as an open bar inside the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center. CBS 4’s Lisa Petrillo hosted the night’s festivities, which also featured appearances by celebrity chefs Rocco DiSpirito and Michael Schwartz.
For us Miamians, Fort Lauderdale seems like a world away. While it really isn’t that far, traffic can make the commute hell. After checking out the fall menu at Ocean 2000, we can honestly say the offerings at the resort restaurant are not good – they’re amazing.
