They say patience is a virtue. We’ve certainly had to show a lot of patience when waiting (and waiting) for Malibu Farm at Eden Roc to open. For years, we’ve been eagerly anticipating the day that this super-fresh farm-to-table restaurant would finally make its debut. It finally has — and it was worth the wait.
This goes without saying, but we eat a lot. And many times, we leave a meal feeling stuffed and tired (and wondering how we’re going to burn the calories). Not so at Manna Life Food, a Downtown Miami plant-based eatery that specializes in food that’s not only good for you but also makes you feel good.
To say that Essensia is a great restaurant would be an understatement. Nestled inside The Palms Hotel & Spa, this upscale Mid-Beach restaurant fuses global influences for flavorful dishes that delight the senses. After trying out their latest seasonal fare and getting a sneak peek of their Miami Spice offerings, all the praise in our previous review still stands — and then some.
A lot has changed since we visited DIRT earlier this year. But at the same time, a lot hasn’t changed at this Miami Beach farm-to-counter eatery and wellness bar. What’s different: the menu, which is now in full spring/summer mode with colorful, refreshing items to complement the seasons. What’s the same: Chef Nicole Votano’s impeccable ability to create satisfying dishes that are equal parts healthy and delicious.
Eating healthy isn’t something that comes easy for us. As food bloggers, it’s especially difficult to follow a “clean eating” plan when we’re bombarded with unhealthy delicious creations left and right. Who has time for fruit bowls, smoothies and wraps? No, thank you.
It wasn’t until we came across DIRT last month that our mindset made a 180-degree turn. The team behind the new healthy eatery on Miami Beach has figured out a way to make eating clean a satisfying and tasty experience — and one worth repeating. In other words, DIRT makes us wish all healthy food tasted this good.
