When we last wrote about Palme d’Or, we were lavishing its Miami Spice menu with praise. After all, $39 for a meal at this five-diamond restaurant is an absolute steal. You know what else is a steal? The restaurant’s other tasting menus, which start at $115 for six magnificent courses.
Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood is home to some of our favorite restaurants, and now we can add another one to the list: Azabu Miami Beach. The New York-based Michelin-starred sushi restaurant has opened a new outpost inside Stanton South Beach, joining Lolo’s Surf Cantina in providing locals and visitors an assortment of delectable fare.
If you don’t know by now, Asian cuisine excites us. Chinese food … Japanese food … Korean food … We love it all. So it’s no surprise that we also love Jaya, the modern Asian restaurant inside The Setai on Miami Beach. Since the last time we visited this South Beach gem, Chef Mathias Gervais has tweaked the menu and added several new items that are not to be missed.
It’s been a while since we last visited Juvia, the popular South Beach restaurant known for its fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and French cooking. While it was a great experience for our palates, it wasn’t so great for our wallets. Juvia’s quality food and view come at a premium price (and deservedly so).
Fortunately for us, Juvia’s new brunch items and prix-fixe lunch menu make the establishment much more approachable. There’s just something about Juvia’s Miami Beach view paired with a fun cocktail and delicious, budget-friendly fare that makes for a memorable meal. And that’s exactly what our most recent experience was.
