All summer long, Verde invited guest chefs to collaborate on family-style feasts inside the Perez Art Museum Miami eatery. The star-studded lineup for the monthly meal included local favorites like Edge Steak and Bar’s Aaron Brooks and Macchialina’s Michael Pirolo. To close out the series, Verde’s own Kaytlin Dangaran and former Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink Chef de Cuisine Niven Patel treated diners to an unforgettable three-course culinary experience.

180° at the DRB is a breath of fresh air in Downtown Miami. Amidst the upscale hotel restaurants, fast-casual lunch spots and obvious money-laundering fronts in the area, the beloved gastropub sticks out like a sore thumb for all the right reasons. At 501 NE 1st Avenue, Chef Ryan Martin and his crew execute a diverse, delectable menu of global cuisine and pairs it with over 170 craft beers for good measure.

We had a chance to interview Chef Martin about the concept last year, and we’re happy to say that little has changed since then: the food is as tasty as ever, as is the beer selection (much to our diet’s detriment). With that said, there has been one noticeable change: a new menu.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Chef Martin has recently introduced a bevy of delicious items, including a burger to rival his award-winning 50/50 creation (chorizo, prime beef, queso frito, maduros, fried egg and spicy lime aioli). And yes, they’re worth your while.

New Menus Pop Up at db Bistro Moderne

A lot has changed since the last time we were at db Bistro Moderne in Downtown Miami. Most notably, former Executive Chef Jason Pringle departed the restaurant earlier this year and was replaced by Clark Bowen, who served as sous chef at the Miami restaurant for the past five years. The recently launched spring menu, which debuted back in May, is Bowen’s first big opportunity to add his creative flair to the restaurant’s flair.

But that’s not all that’s new at db Bistro. From now through the end of July, guests can take part in the Boulud Sud popup that recreates fan favorites from Chef Daniel Boulud’s popular Mediterranean restaurant. Regardless of what you decide to eat, you’re in for a good time.
