2018 has been quite the year for Downtown Miami. The only-crowded-during-business-hours neighborhood is shedding its reputation of being a ghost town after 6 p.m. with a slew of notable culinary additions. The latest to join the lineup is Pez, a spacious restaurant that fuses Mexican and Mediterranean influences into “Baja-Med” cuisine.
As seasons change, so does the menu at Arson. The downtown eatery from James Beard semifinalist Deme Lomas has introduced a bevy of new items to welcome summer. The restaurant, which fuses elements from European, South American and Asian cuisine, is doing its part to boost the neighborhood’s culinary reputation, and these latest additions further that mission.
When we last wrote about American Social, we raved about their monster portions. There was no chance in hell you would be leaving hungry. But sometimes, you don’t want to hate yourself after a meal. Sometimes, you just want a drink and a more manageable bite (or two).
Thankfully, American Social Brickell read our minds. While big plates still make an appearance on the menu, the Brickell hotspot has now added smaller, shareable dishes to their repertoire. If you want a giant, awesome burger — only $5 on Mondays — you can still have that. But if you just want a night out with a glass of wine, a craft beer or a cocktail plus a few tapas, American Social has you covered, too.
