In fall 2015, La Feria by Mercado de San Miguel set up shop in Downtown to bring a taste of Spain to the 305. Based on a similar Spanish food market in Madrid, the popup stayed put for a few months before going on tour and expanding the experience to others. This past October, La Feria 2.0 made its return to Miami, bringing back much of the same delicious food plus several fun additions.
Blink, and you’ll miss Happy Wine while driving on Southwest 8th Street (Calle Ocho). The cozy wine shop/wine bar on 57th Avenue sits inside an unassuming building, and it’s easy to pass by if you’re not looking closely. Those who do spot Happy Wine will be rewarded with over 1,000 wine selections, tasty food and amazing hospitality.
A lot has changed since the last time we were at db Bistro Moderne in Downtown Miami. Most notably, former Executive Chef Jason Pringle departed the restaurant earlier this year and was replaced by Clark Bowen, who served as sous chef at the Miami restaurant for the past five years. The recently launched spring menu, which debuted back in May, is Bowen’s first big opportunity to add his creative flair to the restaurant’s flair.
But that’s not all that’s new at db Bistro. From now through the end of July, guests can take part in the Boulud Sud popup that recreates fan favorites from Chef Daniel Boulud’s popular Mediterranean restaurant. Regardless of what you decide to eat, you’re in for a good time.
