The day is finally here: Stiltsville Fish Bar is open! The seafood concept from culinary powerhouses Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth is ready to welcome patrons for a relaxed, delicious dinner. This past summer, we got a preview of Stiltsville’s offerings at the actual Stiltsville, and if that was any indication, the restaurant should already be firing on all cylinders out of the gate.
At La Mar inside Mandarin Oriental, Miami, you’ll find one of our favorite chefs: Diego Oka. We’ve been to La Mar several times (Exhibit A and Exhibit B), and Chef Oka’s dishes have always left us dazzled. Unsurprisingly, this year’s Miami Spice menu elicited the same response: $39 for this quality of food is a steal.
Within River Yacht Club — a Miami riverfront restaurant, bar and yacht club — you’ll come across one of the best Japanese dining experiences in the 305: Dashi. Ex-Kuro Executive Sushi Chef Shuji Hiyakawa is leading this “restaurant within a restaurant” concept, which serves up progressive Asian fare paired with an incredible view. Sit down and strap in for a delicious meal that you’ll be thinking about long after you’re done eating.
It’s been a while since we last visited Juvia, the popular South Beach restaurant known for its fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and French cooking. While it was a great experience for our palates, it wasn’t so great for our wallets. Juvia’s quality food and view come at a premium price (and deservedly so).
Fortunately for us, Juvia’s new brunch items and prix-fixe lunch menu make the establishment much more approachable. There’s just something about Juvia’s Miami Beach view paired with a fun cocktail and delicious, budget-friendly fare that makes for a memorable meal. And that’s exactly what our most recent experience was.
