On Sunday, September 25, Common Threads hosted its 2nd annual Cooking for Life Sunday Brunch at The Confidante Miami Beach (formerly The Thompson). Hosted by Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alberto Carvalho and Chef Michelle Bernstein, the event brought together the community for a great cause: fighting childhood obesity.
Common Threads, a not-for-profit organization, which provides hands-on cooking and nutrition education to children, families and teachers in underserved communities, is teaming up with celebrity chefs to host its Second Annual Cooking for Life Sunday Brunch on Sunday, September 25 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Over the past year, we’ve interviewed many members of the hospitality industry, and one constant among the interviewees has been a profound love for their pets. So it’s needless to say that we were beyond excited when MFP was invited to a menu preview of her new book #MaximumFlavor Social. By the end of the meal, we left very impressed — it’s hard not to be when you’re served seven memorable courses (as you’ll see in the photos below).
