We have another passion besides food: art. For the past few years, we’ve covered the annual Art Wynwood fair — see here and here — and now we’ve had a chance to check out Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami, two great fairs taking place during Miami Art Week.

For 27 years, Art Miami has shined the spotlight on 20th- and 21st-century works from galleries near and far, and this year is no different. CONTEXT, its sister fair, is also back to showcase both emerging and mid-career artists, albeit at a new location one block north.

Proof Pizza & Pasta: A Midtown Miami Treasure

By now, odds are that you’ve heard of Proof Pizza & Pasta. The Midtown Miami restaurant has quietly made its name for itself since opening its doors almost one year ago. The Neopolitan pizzeria was most recently named Best Restaurant in Midtown/Design District by Miami New Times, adding to its long list of local accolades.

After experiencing the food and service for ourselves, we saw what the fuss was about. We just had to talk to Chefs Justin Flit and Matt Depa about the restaurant and find out their story. So we did.

Art Wynwood 2015: What to Expect + What to Eat

Art lovers rejoice: Art Basel may be long gone, but Art Wynwood is just getting started. The annual fair showcases the works of approximately 70 galleries from all over the world. More than 32,000 people attended Art Wynwood last year, and this year is expected to be equally successful.
