Wok Star Supper Club at RedFarm

On Sunday, July 28, RedFarm is hosting a special Wok Star Supper Club dinner in collaboration with local event curator, Eleanor Hoh, which will feature a four-course dinner menu priced at $75 per person, executed by RedFarm’s Chef Joe Ng. Renowned for producing Asian-inspired culinary gatherings in Miami over the last 12 years, Eleanor Hoh has ideated her passion for cultivating the essence of Asian dining experiences by bringing people together for celebratory tastings at Miami’s most noteworthy Asian dining destinations.

For this edition of Wok Star Supper Club at the critically acclaimed RedFarm in Coconut Grove, Hoh and Chef Joe Ng, a Hong Kong-born Dim Sum Master and RedFarm’s Executive Chef, have curated a special menu for this gathering. Expect modern and inventive Chinese cuisine with whimsical touches and a seasonally driven menu, including dishes unique to Miami and not available in their New York, Austin, or London locations.

The evening will commence at 6pm with a meet and greet, followed by a sit-down four-course dinner in a dining area allocated exclusively for the event. The Special Menu will offer a variety of signature items suitable for all palates, with substantial vegetarian options. Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet Chef Ng, hear his journey from Hong Kong street food to running a 700-seat dim sum restaurant in California, and explore the history of Chinese food and RedFarm with an introduction by RedFarm’s Service Director, Jeff Goldin.

The first course offers a sampler of two starter dishes, with options to choose from including Mushroom and Vegetable Spring Rolls (v), Shrimp & Snow Pea Leaf Dumplings, Crunchy Vegetable Dumplings (v), and Baked Pork Buns. The main course entrees offer dishes like Grilled Filet Mignon & Broccoli, Malaysian Vegetable Curry (v), Pan Seared/Grilled Chilean Sea Bass with Thai Basil, Happy Buddha Box (v), and Three Chili Chicken with peanuts.

To complement entrees, the third course offers guests a choice of one rice or noodle dish, with options such as RedFarm’s signature Long Life Noodles with Morrell Mushrooms (v), Yaki Soba Noodles with Vegetables (v), and Crunchy Vegetable Fried Rice (v), all served alongside course two entrees. To conclude the tasting journey, dessert will be served in a shared style for the table, offering a creamy Mango Mousse and a refreshing Fruit Assortment with ginger sauce.

Wok Star Supper Club will take place at RedFarm on Sunday, July 28 with one seating offered at 6pm in a dining area allocated exclusively for the event. All reservations require a pre-payment of $75 per guest on SevenRooms (price includes tax and service charge; drinks are not included). Early bookings are encouraged due to limited event capacity. Vale Opens in Pinecrest

Florida-based restaurant brand, Vale, under the visionary leadership of CEO & Founder Sunny Ilyas, expands its footprint with the launch of its ninth location in Pinecrest, Florida, opening to the public on July 31. The name “Vale”, derived from an old English word meaning “Earthly”, has been reimagined by Vale to encapsulate the ethos of “living an earthly life,” reflecting the brand’s commitment to health, quality food, sustainability and community. Vale brings its health-conscious dining experience featuring high-quality protein, açai, and poke bowls, complemented by a diverse selection of beverages and bakery items.

In the sprawling 2,000-square-foot restaurant, guests are greeted with a fresh ambiance – a modern reimagining of the restaurant concept characterized by earthy hues, sleek furnishings, and striking artwork throughout. Inside the 27-seat dining room, guests can settle in at stylish white and black marble tables accented by splashes of gold and green, amidst tropical motifs and inviting lounge spaces.

Asian Street Food Market at Smorgasborg Miami

Smorgasburg Miami, Miami’s largest outdoor-food market, is thrilled to announce it will be hosting an Asian Street Food Market weekend on July 27 and 28. Hosted in partnership with Miami K-Pop Night, the event will bring guest vendors, interactive and family friendly activities, live entertainment, existing vendor specials and more to the Wynwood hotspot. The event, which will take place from 2pm-11pm on both days, is open to the public and entry is free.

The street food market will celebrate Asian cuisine and street food culture with guest vendors and specials from existing vendors. Guests can expect to try dishes including different types of dumplings, Cantonese fried rice, yuzu cane, Japanese sandwiches and much more.

The family friendly event will also offer a variety of interactive activities and live entertainment throughout the weekend. Activities and entertainment include a live DJ, pottery painting, henna tattoos, K-POP dance classes, K-POP trivia and karaoke. There will also be a Kintsugi master class, which is the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold. The Kintsugi class by Crafts and Drafts is ticketed and priced at $40 per person. Tickets include the class and a margarita.
