Mexican Independence Day at Cantina La Veinte

This Mexican Independence Day, Cantina La Veinte is bringing a taste of Mexico’s biggest celebration to the heart of Brickell. On Tuesday, September 15, the waterfront restaurant will celebrate the eve of Mexican Independence Day with a night of traditional flavors, mariachis, DJ entertainment and, of course, El Grito.

At around 11 p.m., Cantina will take part in El Grito, the tradition celebrated across Mexico each year on September 15, when crowds come together to cheer “¡Viva México!” and officially kick off the Independence Day festivities.

For the occasion, guests can also try Cantina’s traditional Chiles en Nogada, available throughout the entire month of September. Considered one of Mexico’s most iconic dishes, it features a poblano chile filled with picadillo, topped with a creamy walnut sauce and pomegranate seeds, creating the green, white and red colors of the Mexican flag.
