Fooq’s Continues to Impress With New Chef

We’ve been fans of Fooq’s since the Downtown Miami restaurant first opened several years ago. Owner David Foulquier was actually one of our first interviews for the blog way back in 2015. So needless to say, the Mediterranean eatery has a special place in our hearts (and stomachs).

Recently, Fooq’s welcomed a new chef: Clark Bowen, who’s made a name for himself locally at db Bistro Moderne and Boulud Sud (its successor). At Fooq’s, Chef Bowen is putting his signature touches on the Feel Good Food that Fooq’s is known for. The delicious end result has us more excited than ever for the future of this Downtown gem.

The Spillover Gets a Do-Over

What a difference a new chef can make! When we last tried The Spillover a few years back, it was … fine. The food was okay, but we expected more from the team behind faves like Lokal and Kush. As a result, we kinda avoided the place for a while – until now. With Chef Juan Borjas now at the helm, The Spillover is giving us several delicious excuses to visit Coconut Grove.
