Trust is earned. There aren’t many places where we feel comfortable putting our full trust in the chef, but Azabu is one of them. The Asian restaurant’s omakase experience, which takes place at its private sushi bar, provides guests with an intimate meal they’ll be thinking about long after it’s done. That’s exactly what happened after our multi-course affair that tantalized all five senses.
When we booked a flight to San Diego on a whim, we had no idea what to expect. After falling in love with Los Angeles and finding San Francisco “just okay” in 2016, we hoped that our sudden decision to revisit the West Coast would end up with us creating some fun memories.
