Thanksgiving Table To-Go With SOBEWFF

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is teaming up with Constellation Culinary Group to offer a one stop, no shop SOBEWFF® Thanksgiving Table To-Go sponsored by Bank of America this holiday season. Impress guests with one of three conveniently prepared dinner packages specially curated by the SOBEWFF® team in collaboration with Constellation Culinary Group Executive Chef Aaron Janus.

All dishes come fully cooked with reheating instructions, and include the option to purchase a festive flower arrangement from Anthology Co. for an additional $60. In line with SOBEWFF and its mission to give back, 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit the Festival’s efforts to aid the local hospitality industry during the continued regrowth and recovery phase. In addition, for every 25 packages sold, SOBEWFF® will donate a holiday family meal to Members of the Local Hospitality Industry impacted by the pandemic.

Each Thanksgiving dinner package includes entrée(s), two salads, a choice of three side dishes, bread, accompaniments, two dessert(s), wine from La Crema, GREY GOOSE Vodka, Acqua Pann Natural Spring Water, S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, and a canister of illy Classico Ground Drip Coffee.

Orders will be available for purchase beginning Thursday, November 5 thru Friday, November 20 at sobewff.org/thanksgiving. SGWS Wynwood (2105 N. Miami Avenue) will serve as the drive-thru contactless pick-up location on Wednesday, November 25 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, November 26 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The pick-up location will also serve as a drop-off point for the FIU Food Pantry, where purchasers of the SOBEWFF Thanksgiving Table To-Go sponsored by Bank of America are encouraged to drop-off pantry and toiletry items for FIU students facing food insecurities.

 

Natiivo™ Miami Debuts 2 Notable Restaurant Brands

Natiivo™ Miami, the first development purposefully designed, built and licensed for homesharing, announces the newest additions of the master-planned community in the heart of Downtown Miami. Staying true to the “live like a native” mentality, the development will feature two beloved local restaurants — Dolce Mercato (by Dolce Italian) and Bodega Taqueria.

Dolce Mercato at Natiivo™ Miami will be curated by culinary dynamic duo John Meadow of LDV Hospitality, who is also creating the culinary experience at Natiivo Social, and developer/hospitality entrepreneur Keith Menin. Capturing the timeless spirit of Fellini’s 1960’s Rome, Dolce is known to bring ‘la dolce vita’ to life with its effortless charm and approachable sophistication.

Dolce Mercato will feature its well-known authentic Italian cuisine, in addition to a healthy Mediterranean palate and an exhibition of various food stations, ranging from homemade pasta and wood fired pizza to an expansive grill area with an array of fresh, local catches, dry aged meats, vegetables and more.

The gourmet market on the go will be located off the side of the building and feature Corso coffee, in-house made gelato, freshly made paninis and salads, imported meats and cheeses and other delicacies to take on your way out. The bar will offer aperitivo (happy hour) with a spritz menu and cicchetti (small plates), as well as a selection of over three dozen regional Italian wines for guests to enjoy by the glass. Pre-order and delivery will be available.

The second restaurant, Bodega Taqueria at Natiivo™ Miami, is the new spin-off concept of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, South Florida’s iconic spot known for its authentic Mexican street food and late-night speakeasy with locations in South Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

Bodega Taqueria will mirror the award-winning fast-casual food portion that makes up Bodega Taqueria y Tequila and will offer tacos, burritos, and other customer favorites. The restaurant will have an expansive outdoor patio and airstream located on the east side of the ground floor at Natiivo™ Miami.

 

Moxy South Beach to Feature 6 Fun Concepts

Lightstone, the developers behind three award-winning Moxy hotels in New York City announced today the partnership with the Miami restaurateurs behind the uber-popularCoyo Taco and 1-800-Lucky for January’s highly anticipated opening of Moxy South Beach.

Debuting early 2021 will be six new and exclusive dining and drinking concepts, drawing on Mexican, Caribbean, Mediterranean and American flavors. The new restaurants and bars includeComo Como, a marisquería (seafood) restaurant and raw bar; Mezcalista, a sexy mezcal lounge; Serena, an open-air rooftop restaurant and bar serving hand-crafted cocktails and seasonal dishes; Los Buenos, an all-day taco stand / bodega in the lobby, complemented by Bar Moxy, which does double duty as a social hub and contactless check-in area; and The Upside, a rooftop bar on the eighth floor with panoramic Miami Beach views, exclusively for hotel guests and private events.

Estrella Damm Culinary Journey Extends Promotion

Estrella Damm Culinary Journey program has been extended through November 30th. The promotion, which launched on October 15th with an original 30-day run and 50 featured restaurants, now features a total of 60 participating establishments – including Aromas del Peru (all locations); Charly’s Vegan Tacos; Palmar; Shuckers; Yatai; La Terazza (Doral); Bolivar; and Pinch Me.

Previously known as Chefs Choice, the revamped program allows adventurous foodies to enjoy unique delicious and specially-priced offerings from participating restaurants in Dade and Broward County, from exclusive dishes to tasting menus, all paired with Estrella Damm.
Brewed in Barcelona with Mediterranean ingredients since 1876, Estrella Damm boasts a versatile and approachable flavor profile, making it an attractive pairing to cuisines from around the world.

Taquerias el Mexicano Launches Brunch

Taquerias el Mexicano is thrilled to announce they have created their first ever brunch menu and it is launching this Sunday, November 15th. Brunch will be available on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can enjoy the new menu indoors as well as outdoors on the new garden patio.

The brunch menu will feature traditional Mexican classics including chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos. Taquerias is putting a Mexican spin on classic brunch dishes such as a quiche called the Chile Relleno made with poblanos, onions, jack and cojita, salsa roja creama served with a house salad. There’s also the “Benedict el Mexicano” served on house masa cake with a choice of chorizo, carnitas, tajin-dusted bacon or avocado and topped with hollandaise de casa.

Another highlight is the Oaxacan Breakfast Tlayuda – a Mexican-style pizza topped with eggs, veggies, pinto beans, cotija, bacon and cilantro. Guests can also enjoy some new cocktails like our super refreshing Hibiscus Margarita or the Jaliscan Mai Tai or the Livin La Vida Local.

 

Bulla Gastrobar Brings Back Paella Tuesdays

For an elevated weeknight out, explore the flavors of Spain with the return of Bulla Gastrobar’s Paella Tuesdays at all Bulla locations. Every Tuesday, Bulla will rotate 5 of their famous paellas, ranging from $20 to $39.50.

Bulla’s Paella Tuesdays features flavors for everyone, including the Seafood Paella made with a fresh combination of calamari, prawns, clams, shrimp, or experience the eye-catching Paella Negra, prepared with squid ink to create a dish rich in its flavors and its colors.

 

Makeup Party at The Wharf

Since Cinco de Mayo wasn’t much of a celebration this year, both The Wharf Miami and The Wharf Fort Lauderdale have decided to throw a makeup party – in November!

On Wednesday, November 25th (Thanksgiving Eve) the Cinco de Mayo Makeup Celebration will go on simultaneously at both Wharf locations with live entertainers, a live musical performance by mariachis, over the top Cinco de Mayo decor including piñatas, and complimentary sombreros with RSVP (while supplies last).

In true Cinco de Mayo tradition, both Wharf locations will be giving a free Corona beer with every purchase of a tequila shot all day and night starting at 12PM.
