Each year, the Swank Table dinner series by Swank Specialty Produce brings together some of South Florida’s top chefs for unforgettable meals on the namesake farm. This season kicked off with an Argentine BBQ dubbed “Gauchos Asados,” which featured delicious fare from the likes of Miami Smokers, The Sugar Factory, Batch Gastropub, Red Splendor and Hilton Hotel West Palm Beach.
When we think of Argentine cuisine, the first thing that comes to mind is amazing meat. And that’s the first thing that should come to mind at Delano South Beach’s latest restaurant, Leynia. The Argentinean grill serves up an incredible array of carnes that you’ll be thinking about long after you take your last bite.
But this isn’t your traditional Argentine fare: The restaurant also infuses Asian influences throughout the menu. The result? One of our favorite meals of 2017.
This year marks Novecento’s 25th anniversary, and the restaurant has been hosting many fun events to celebrate this milestone. One of these events was a a kitchen takeover at the restaurant’s Brickell location with renowned Chef Sebastian La Rocca, culinary director for Enjoy Group of Costa Rica. Chef La Rocca oversees all restaurants and hotels in the group, which includes Bacchus, L’ile de France and Terruño.
For one night only at the Brickell outpost, guests could enjoy a six-course menu developed by Chef La Rocca and inspired by Argentina. We were fortunate to experience the extensive menu for ourselves along with fellow foodies and friends. Here’s what he had throughout the evening.
