Memorial Day Weekend is upon us. Do you know where you’re spending the long weekend? Several Miami hotspots have some big plans for the holiday. Below, you’ll find a roundup of local events and specials to keep you busy.

Cafeina
Cafeina’s Garden of Good and Evil Sunday party is for the brunch warriors’ seeking to keep the party going. Starting at 2pm, Cafeina introduces a raw bar menu along with an a la carte menu best paired with bottomless options of the frosé, champagne, and cocktails. Guests can choose to dine al fresco in its outdoor garden or let their hair down in the dimly lit lounge, which features a DJ on decks and nighttime vibes.
EazyO
EazyO, Miami Beach’s first beachside food & beverage delivery app-based service, brings drinks and bites right to your beach chair via geolocation technology. What better way to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend than having a glass of chilled rosé or a salty margarita delivered directly to you while you soak up the warm sun? The app is available at The Confidante Miami Beach, Fontainebleau, Hilton Cabana, Marriott Stanton and more hotels along Miami Beach.
ETARU Hallandale
Celebrate Memorial Day on the beach at ETARU Hallandale’s Beach Bar. The spectacular oceanfront restaurant featuring contemporary Robatayaki cuisine will host a Memorial Day cookout on Monday, May 28 from 12PM until 5PM. The cookout will feature an outdoor grill, music by DJ Soul P and a pop-up shop by Heed Spa. An a la carte food & beverage menu will be available with favorites such as the ETARU Burger with tomato, onion and shiitake ketchup served with fries; and a selection of sushi, sashimi, salads and other Robata dishes.
A variety of refreshing cocktails including the Bonsai Storm with plantation dark rum, pickled ginger, lime ginger beer and angostura bitters; the Rita Okinawa made with Yuzu kosho infused tequila, yellow chartreuse, lime & agave; Frosé; and an assortment of wines and beers. ETARU is located at 111 South Surf Road in Hallandale Beach. A second location will open in June 2018 at Icon Las Olas at 500 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Glass & Vine
Celebrate Memorial Day at the earthy, yet contemporary garden oasis situated in the heart of Peacock Park, Glass & Vine. The restaurant is extending their signature weekend brunch to Monday, May 28, serving Floridian inspired cuisine crafted by award-winning, star chef Giorgio Rapicavoli. Dig into brunch plates like Avocado Toast ($10) garnished with toasted sesame, lime and dried Fresno chile; Crab Cake Benedict ($19) complete with whipped hollandaise and Old Bay potatoes; Carbonara Fries ($12) – black truffle crema, bacon, Grana Padano; Caprese ($15) – Florida tomato, pea pesto, local stracciatella and cured meat; and Local Fish Tiradito ($15) – rocoto leche de tigre, sweet potato and cilantro.
As no true brunch is complete without a few boozy selections, brunch cocktails include the Bloody Mary ($10) – sazon complete, frita sauce, lime; Mimosa ($10) – Florida orange juice and Charles Lafitte sparkling; and Sangria ($10) – Chablis, Sauvignon Blanc, passion fruit vodka, and fresh fruit. Glass & Vine is located at 2820 McFarlane Road in Coconut Grove. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 3:30PM.
KINGS Dining & Entertainment Doral
KINGS Dining & Entertainment Doral is the place to be for all holidays, especially Memorial Day! All year long, troops bowl for free, but that’s not all. On the holiday, there will be a patio party with giant Jenga, cornhold and more, family-style dining for groups of 10 or more, and an awesome deal “All You Can Play.” With this deal, starting at 9 p.m., you can play games and bowl as much as you want for $15.99.

This Memorial Day Weekend, the National Salute to America’s Heroes returns and Loews Miami Beach Hotel is an ideal place to catch all the fighter jets doing their aerial displays! Whether floating in our oceanfront pool, watching from your private SOAK Cabana rooftop, or sitting on Preston’s Market Terrace while eating delicious Air & Sea Show specials, Loews Miami offers a great location with direct views of all the tricks and turns.
In the spirit of the Air & Sea Show, we’re offering an Air & Sea culinary special that includes a Flight of Wings and a Ceviche Fleet. Folks are invited to reserve a table on our Preston’s Market Terrace, where they can enjoy these specially themed items and watch the Air & Sea Show. The Flight of Wings and Ceviche Fleet will be available May 26 & 27 from 12pm – 6pm at Preston’s Market Terrace and at Bar Collins. Full restaurant menus will also be available, in addition to the Air & Sea specials. Preston’s Market will have live music both days as well.
The Flight of Wings ($16) features oven roasted chicken wings with a trio of sauces: charred poblano crema, coconut curry BBQ and chipotle mayo.
The Ceviche Fleet ($14) features a trio of ceviches served with plantain chips including: Shrimp and poblano pepper; octopus and mango; grouper and tomato.
Loews Miami is a great alternative to the beach crowds, with personalized service, delicious food/drink and amazing views of the show. Reservations are recommended for Preston’s Market Terrace as seating is limited – 305-604-5442.
National Hotel
Kick off the summer season at National Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. For Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28), all Quarterdeck locations will be offering Jack Daniel’s chicken wings and select cocktails for $19.99. Cocktail options include Orange Crush, Smirnoff Orange Vodka, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice, Triple Sec and Sprite served over crushed ice; Whiskey Smash, Jack Daniel’s, muddled lemon and mint served over crushed ice; and the Avion Shaker Margarita, Avion Silver Tequila, Citronge, fresh lime and agave with a choice of traditional, mango or blueberry. Signature Quarterdeck cups will be in theme with American flags throughout the summer. You can also catch the staff in fun American flag uniform.
