Our favorite pizza in Miami is Lucali. One problem, though: Getting to the beach is a trek for us — doubly so when there’s traffic. Thankfully, Lucali co-founder Dominic Cavagnuolo has opened up DC Pie Co. in Brickell, saving us the trip over the bridge. Fans of Lucali’s phenomenal pies will find that this new spot will satisfy any pizza cravings you have for the Miami Beach mainstay.
If you’re planning a visit to DC Pie Co., we suggest you pay a visit for lunch. During the day, DC Pie Co. offers a range of budget-friendly deals that will fill you up without breaking the bank. The lunch special prices vary depending on your drink ($15-$20), but they include a 15-inch signature pizza that’s big enough for two people. While there are other lunch deals that include items like Beef Meatballs or a salad, you know you came here for a pie.
Adding toppings outside of garlic and basil can bring up the price slightly, but you’re still getting a pretty good value. Instead of adding more toppings, put that money toward one of DC Pie Co.’s other delicious offerings like the popular Sweet Hot Wings with bleu cheese or the pepperoni chips. Even if you do decide on just the pizza, you’ll likely be leaving with leftovers. There’s a scrumptious Nutella Pie available for dessert, but if you’re like us, you’re likely pizza’d out by now. Instead, consider ordering the Berry and Ricotta Calzone if you want some sweetness to cap your meal. Although it looks decadent, it’s actually quite light.
The best part of our visit: We were in and out relatively fast, and the speed of the experience was welcome, especially since we were on a time crunch. So if you’re looking for a quick lunch that will double as dinner, look no further than DC Pie Co.
