New Chef Collab at SHINGO

Coral Gables’ acclaimed omakase restaurant, SHINGO, is introducing SHINGO & Friends, a new collaboration series with celebrated chefs from around the world.

The first of this series will kick off this month with a two-night culinary takeover on Wednesday, January 17 and Thursday, January 18, led by Chef Shingo Akikuni and Chef Masaya Shirai of revered restaurant, Towa, in New York City.

Osaka-born Chef Shirai is a master of Kaiseki cuisine (seasonal Japanese dining) and has spent years perfecting his craft, working in restaurants such as Sushi Zen as well as Michelin-starred Sushi Azabu, before opening his very own restaurant Towa in Spring of 2022.

The restaurant will offer guests two seatings each night, at 6PM or 9PM, where the two chefs will work together, showcasing their unique culinary artistry, highlighting the freshest ingredients of the season. Reservations are available online and can be made via TOCK.
