Coming Soon: Sunny’s
Opening Fall 2024, Sunny’s is the highly anticipated restaurant and bar from the team behind Miami’s award-winning Jaguar Sun and Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse residency at Lot 6. Located in Littler River, Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse began as Jaguar Sun’s response to the pandemic and quickly became one of Miami’s hottest reservations.
The residency scored a coveted “Best Restaurant in America” accolade from Bon Appetit and was named a Tales of the Cocktail “Spirited Award” Regional Honoree. While Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse ended its residency in May 2022, the team was able to retain the outdoor space and build a full-fledged indoor restaurant around it to create Sunny’s. In addition to world-class food and beverage, Sunny’s will deliver a nightly dinner party that needs to be felt to be believed.
The Sunny’s food menu will boast raw bar selections, wood-fired proteins, and steakhouse classics, alongside hand-made pastas and salads. On the beverage side, the team flexes across a substantial wine list spanning the traditional to the more adventurous and obscure. Sunny’s will also house a high-caliber cocktail program pouring impeccably-made classic and house cocktails, a pick-your-path martini menu, and a robust zero-proof drinks selection.
The restaurant, built into an abandoned roofing factory, is centered around a massive banyan tree growing through its brick courtyard. The design of Sunny’s is a modern interpretation of the white table-clothed steakhouse, with 220 seats across the light-filled indoor and outdoor dining space, private dining room, and two bars.
Bombay Darbar Opens in Downtown Doral
Downtown Doral, a 250-acre mixed-use community developed by Codina Partners, has officially opened its newest anchor restaurant, Bombay Darbar, a popular South Florida-based Indian restaurant. The new location celebrated its grand opening on May 30, marking Bombay Darbar’s third restaurant in South Florida and first in Doral.
The upscale restaurant occupies a 4,085 space directly west of Downtown Doral Park at 8405 NW 53rd Street, Suite E101 in Doral, FL. The Downtown Doral location offers lunch, dinner, and catering menus as well as a full bar. The space transports guests with its unique design features including an ornate ceiling design with gold accents, a modern bar with ambient lighting and a seven-foot-tall Buddha statue.
“Last year, we polled the greater community on the type of cuisine they wanted to see next at Downtown Doral and there was an overwhelming interest in Indian,” said Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, CEO of Codina Partners. “Bombay Darbar was the clear choice to satisfy this demand, as it is a local favorite that serves top-notch food and offers an upscale atmosphere with solid service.”
Bombay Darbar has been bringing authentic Indian cuisine to South Florida for more than 12 years. It is consistently recognized as one of the best Indian restaurants in South Florida, with national and regional food writers from prestigious publications singing its praises.
