Sushi Making Class at Komodo


This monthly dinner series showcases the art, history and technique behind the centuries-old tradition of sushi making. Guests will be greeted with a complimentary cocktail and the option to add on a three-course omakase tasting after the class.

New Brunch at Shiso

Shiso, the innovative Asian Smokehouse by Chef Raheem Sealey and Forward Hospitality, is launching its new All-Day Rooftop Brunch, debuting Sunday, May 11. Running from 12 p.m. to sunset, every Sunday the weekly brunch program transforms the rooftop into a sun-drenched escape, soundtracked by disco house beats and fueled by decadent platters and champagne specials.

The brunch menu, inspired by Shiso’s beloved “for the table” dinner format, features bold new offerings such as:

– Build-Your-Own Teamaki with options like scrambled eggs, pickles, biscuits, and house-made sauces
– Miso Salted Caramel French Toast
– Pancakes with House-Made Berry Compote & Yuzu Jam

Spanish Wine Masterclass at Bulla

Bulla Gastrobar is thrilled to announce an exclusive Spring masterclass series in collaboration with Torres Wines from the Ribera del Duero region. From May 12 to May 15 (dates vary by location), guests will have the opportunity to partake in the concept’s Spanish Wine Masterclass & Bulla Bite Series – an immersive experience showcasing the renowned wines of Ribera del Duero, Spain.

Hosted by Familia Torres, this interactive event offers an in-depth exploration of Celeste signature wines, expertly paired with traditional tapas that showcase the flavors of the region. Priced at $65 per person, attendees will enjoy guided tastings while learning about the rich history and craftsmanship behind each bottle.

There will be three courses of bites beginning with Salmon Carpaccio, made with crispy capers, cornichons, arugula, mini croutons, and dill vinaigrette, perfectly matched with Celeste Verdejo. The second course features Steak Montaditos, grilled steak with piquillo confit, salsa criolla, and pimiento de padrón paired with Celeste Crianza. The experience concludes with Braised Short Ribs, topped with tetilla cheese, caramelized onions, homemade potato chips, salsa criolla, and potato foam complemented by Celeste Reserva. Each bite was hand-selected to complement its paired wine, ensuring a well-curated and satisfying tasting.
