Arcano Opens in Coral Gables

Expect the unexpected at Coral Gables’ newest go-to dining spot, Arcano. For foodies on the hunt for their next great meal or local diners interested in checking out the latest culinary sensation, Arcano is the destination. This warm, welcoming, affordable, and alluring restaurant puts a creative twist on Hispanic cuisine, marrying tradition and innovation in every dish.

A selection of Hot & Cold Starters kicks off the menu, featuring dishes such as Guacamole Ahumado, a beautifully smoked avocado cream topped with roasted pumpkin seeds, tomato, relish, and radish, drizzled with house-made charcoaled jalapeno oil, and served with crispy taro. Crudo de lomito (beef carpaccio) contains three types of coffee: a tender cut of filet mignon marinated in Costa Rican coffee, topped with a house-made coffee oil extract and emulsion, and then ancestral seeds, watercress leaves, and a crumble of Honduran cheese.

Next up, nine large-format Plates offer an enticing selection of main course options. Indulge in Pato con mole atop corn puree or Jarrete de Cordero – a lamb shank braised in pomegranate juice and red wine reduction, with fresh citrus zest and hibiscus powder; served with pickled onions, shredded Oaxaca cheese, and fresh purple corn tortillas. Also on offer, a quartet of Street Food handhelds that hold their own against the main plates’ big flavors.

Perhaps one of Miami’s most curious burgers can be found here, and it’s as delicious as it is unorthodox. The Hamburguesa Arcano is an 8 oz. wagyu beef brisket patty served on a house-made roll infused with blackberries, then topped with hibiscus-kissed caramelized onions, shredded Oaxaca cheese, queso fresco, fresh watercress, and a house-made garlic aioli.

Desserts are ready to impress and include the wildly creative Tarta de Remolacha (“beet tart”). A thin ribbon of beet root is poached in a beet juice reduction, twisted into a delicate flower, served atop an almond tart with a citrus and beet reduction and a scoop of passionfruit and hibiscus gelato.

Arcano’s innovative cocktails are gamechangers. Creations include an Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve and elote liqueur mixed with a house-made jarabe of roasted corn, vanilla, saffron, and cocoa. Another standout is the Baila Conmigo, a refreshing concoction served in a whimsical ceramic avocado. Canaima Amazonia gin and cilantro liqueur are laced with a pepino-poblano-spinach shrub, and elderflower for the perfect sip.

Arcano is located at 259 Giralda Avenue in Coral Gables. Lunch is served Tuesday-Friday, noon to 4PM; dinner Tuesday Thursday 4PM-10PM; Friday & Saturday, 4PM-11PM. Brunch, featuring live music, is served every Sunday from 11AM-4PM.

Golden Hour at Phuc Yea

Just in time for the sizzling summer nights, Phuc Yea is proud to unveil The Golden Hour—a bold new Happy Hour experience and a deeply collaborative cocktail menu that’s shaking up the way we sip. Expect tropical vibes, bold Southeast Asian flavors, and serious technique behind the bar.

Offered Wednesday through Sunday from 5–7 PM, The Golden Hour features 50% off all cocktails, $5 beers, wine, and sake shots, and $5 chicken or broccoli bao. Whether you’re kicking off a night out or sliding into an early solo session, this is where the glow-up begins.

At the heart of this refresh is a swanky new martini section, cheekily titled “A ‘Tini with a Snack”—four original martinis, each with a perfectly paired bite. From the Madame Ho Chi Minh with crispy pickled onion wonton to the Đông Sơn Warrior with a sesame-peanut crumble boat, each pairing delivers a three-part flavor experience: the drink, the bite, and the magic in between.

This menu was created as a true team effort—with each bartender on Phuc Yea’s squad bringing their own voice and vision to the table. Led by beverage director and co-owner Ani Meinhold, the group crafted cocktails that are deeply personal yet technically tight. Ani’s signature flavor layering and modern Southeast Asian flair helped shape the foundation—then each team member added their own story, shaking up something distinct and memorable. The result is a menu that’s collaborative, expressive, and uniquely Phuc Yea.

Served with thoughtful garnishes, these cocktails are elegant on their own—but when combined with their paired snacks, something transformative happens. Each combo creates a third flavor moment that’s unexpected, smart, and deeply satisfying. This isn’t your average sip-and-snack setup. It’s culinary storytelling in liquid form.

Phuc Yea’s bar is technique-driven, leaning into clarification, house infusions, CO2 carbonation, and fresh, Southeast Asian ingredients like watermelon basil, red bell pepper, and coco-cashew orgeat. These cocktails aren’t just delicious—they’re intentional, layered, and built to impress.

The Golden Hour is available by reservation in the lobby lounge and high tops via www.phucyea.com, while the bar remains first come, first served. Free parking is available onsite, while it lasts.
