Closing Soon: Segafredo
Graspa Group, the award-winning Miami-based hospitality firm behind some of South Florida’s most beloved Italian dining destinations, has announced that Segafredo L’Originale will officially close its doors this summer following a 26-year run on Lincoln Road. To celebrate the restaurant and nightlife destination’s lasting legacy, the team will host an all-day farewell celebration on Sunday, June 21, from 2-10 p.m.
Open to the public, the event will invite the community to come together for a final toast and a trip down memory lane honoring the memories, music and moments that made Segafredo part of the fabric of South Beach culture for more than two decades. Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of bubbly upon arrival while enjoying Segafredo’s regular à la carte menu, signature cocktails and live music throughout the day. The celebration will also reunite many of the DJs who helped define Segafredo’s iconic atmosphere over the years for one final set on Lincoln Road.
“When we opened Segafredo, we wanted to create an authentic Italian-style bar where people could gather at any hour of the day for great food, drinks, music and conversation,” said Graziano Sbroggio, CEO and owner of Graspa Group. “What followed became part of the rhythm of Miami Beach for 26 incredible years. I’m deeply grateful to every guest, employee and DJ who helped shape that journey, especially to the City of Miami Beach, the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District and Colony Theatre for their longtime partnership and support. Like all beautiful things in life, this chapter must come to an end. We are proud of what we built.”
Since opening in June 2000, Segafredo evolved into one of Miami Beach’s most recognizable gathering places and one of the city’s first true Italian-style bars. Originally conceived as a café concession adjacent to the historic Colony Theatre, the venue introduced a distinctly European style of gathering to Lincoln Road — creating a place where guests could move seamlessly from morning espresso and afternoon meetings to aperitivos, dinner and late-night cocktails in an energetic yet approachable atmosphere.
“Some of the best memories of Miami Beach happened at those tables on Lincoln Road,” said Mark Soyka, co-owner of Segafredo. “So many friendships, conversations, celebrations and late nights started at Segafredo, and I think that’s why the place connected with people for so long.”
At a time when South Beach nightlife revolved around velvet ropes and exclusive clubs, Segafredo offered something different: an open-air gathering place rooted in conversation, music and community. Music remained central to the Segafredo experience from the very beginning, with daily DJs helping cultivate the venue’s lively and eclectic atmosphere and establishing the restaurant as a longtime gathering place for Miami’s DJ and creative communities.
“Music was always part of the soul of Segafredo,” said Luca Voltarel, co-owner of Segafredo. “Over the years, it became a home for Miami’s DJ community and a place where artists, locals and visitors could come together every single day. Seeing so many familiar faces return for one final celebration will be incredibly meaningful for all of us.”
Segafredo’s farewell celebration will take place Sunday, June 21 from 2-10 p.m. at 1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Admission is free and open to the public.
Copper 29 Celebrates 10 Years
Ten years ago, Copper 29 Bar opened its doors on Miracle Mile with a simple mission: make chemistry. A decade later, the Coral Gables staple has done exactly that sparking friendships, fueling first dates, toasting graduations, hosting bachelorette parties, and serving as the backdrop for countless life moments. On Friday, May 29, 2026, Copper 29 Bar invites the community to raise a glass to ten years of memories with A Decade of Decadence, an anniversary celebration packed with craft cocktails, live entertainment, and surprises throughout the night.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with a complimentary RSVP and Happy Hour running from 6 to 9 p.m., where guests will be welcomed with one complimentary cocktail with rsvp plus complimentary bubbly flowing throughout the night, and passed bites circulating among the crowd. The evening will also feature live entertainment keeping the energy high from day to night, with performances from a violinist, dancers, and a saxophone artist, plus DJs spinning tunes. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress for what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated celebrations in Coral Gables.
In honor of the milestone, Copper 29 Bar is bringing back its original signature cocktail, the Hibiscus 29.
Originally crafted for the bar’s 2016 opening, the Hibiscus 29 quickly became one of the venue’s most beloved drinks and a defining expression of Copper 29’s early identity. Though it has long since rotated off the menu, the cocktail returns for one night only as a tribute to the creativity and cocktail culture that shaped the bar’s beginnings. From 5–6 p.m., the Hibiscus 29 will be available for $10. The recipe pairs Facundo Neo Silver Rum and St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur with a house-made hibiscus shrub, finished with a delicate bergamot acid foam.
Tickets to A Decade of Decadence are complimentary with RSVP, which includes entry and a welcome drink. Reservations can be made via Eventbrite here.
