A Look Back on the First Coral Gables Food Tour

Coral Gables Food Tour - 16

First off, a big thanks to everyone who made our first-ever Coral Gables Food Tour with Coral Gables Love a success. What’s the Coral Gables Food Tour, you say? This past Tuesday, we teamed up with our favorite Coral Gables blog to take 15 diners to some of the top restaurants in Coral Gables. From 6-9 pm, we enjoyed bites and adult beverages at Uvaggio, Bulla and The Local Craft Food + Drink.

At Uvaggio, our first stop, everyone chowed down on the wine bar’s famous happy hour snacks — salt cod croquettes and house-made yogurt naan bread — and savored two pours of wine selected by Head Wine-O Heath Porter. From there, we proceeded to Bulla for delectable Spanish bites that included albondigas (veal and pork meatballs), the famous Huevos Bulla (eggs, homemade potato chips, Serrano ham, potato foam, truffle oil) and churros.

The last stop — The Local — ended the tour with a bang. Steak tartare, blue crab hushpuppies, and chicken and biscuits were complemented by the restaurant’s delicious craft cocktails including the No Country for Old Cosmos (Ketel One, housemade cranberry-rosemary reduction, orange, lime) and Catch Me If You Can Old Fashioned (gingerbread Mollasses, Spiced Bitters blend, stirred with Brugal Anejo Rum).

We’re working out the details for the next local food tour and will keep you posted once everything’s finalized. In the meantime, check out the photos from the inaugural event below.
