Now Open: Tap42 in Doral

Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar has opened their most recent location at CityPlace Doral.Located at 3535 NW 83rd Ave, Doral, FL 33166, the new outpost occupies the former Perinola South American Table & Bar space, a freestanding building at the entrance to CityPlace Doral. With roughly 5,000 square feet of dining and patio space and 200 seats, the Doral location features Tap 42’s signature modern industrial aesthetic, along with an elevated gastropub food and beverage program curated by Executive Chef & Partner, Andrew Balick.

Tap 42 Doral also features their menu classics such as Crispy Asian Calamari Tower, Barbecue Baby Back Ribs, and Ice Cream Cookie Super Sundae. The restaurant offers signature promotions including, Wine Wednesdays, and Bottomless Brunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a brand new signature Happy Hour menu featuring $5 Craft Beers, $6 Spirits, Shots & Cocktails, and $7 Wine.

From a beverage perspective, Tap 42 offers a tightly curated craft beer list along with handcrafted cocktails including Seasonal Favorites and Cocktails on Tap, and an extensive selection of over 40 Bourbons and Whiskeys.

 

New Promotions at Esotico Miami

Downtown’s newest restaurant, Esotico Miami, recently launched three happenings featuring Hawaiian-inspired cuisine, tiki cocktails, and beats. Guests can immerse themselves in Esotico Miami’s tribute to tiki culture crafted by cocktail maestro Daniele Dalla Pola and Executive Chef Koa. The homage to tiki-with-a-twist features an exquisite sampling of delicious dishes and fresh libations.

During the new weekday Happy Hour, from 5PM-7PM, imbibers can enjoy half-off all tiki cocktails (excluding tiki mugs, volcanos and social cocktails) and a selection of small plates ($5-$12) from the popular “Tropical Chow” menu including the Pork Belly Bao; Fish Cake; Ahi Pacific Bowl; Island Ceviche; and Spam Fried Rice.

Those looking for tropical vibes can end the work week and hear the Hawaiian beat drop every Friday during the weekly Makamae Night. Makamae means “beats” in Hawaiian and from 8:30PM-2AM a DJ will be spinning a vibey mix of music while guests enjoy a stellar dining experience. On Saturdays, Esotico Miami brings back the disco funk. From 8:30PM-2AM foodies and music lovers can listen to classic tunes on vinyl while enjoying a taste of the islands with a variety of fresh seafood, meat-centric, and seasonal vegetable dishes.

 

Sala’o Launches Express Lunch

Sala’o Cuban Bar and Pescaderia is launching Lunch Express!

The menu consists of three main courses for you to choose one from. The first option is arroz amarillo con pesca’o, grouper with yellow rice, sofrito and vegetables. The second option is arroz con almejas, clams rice, green sofrito and wine. The last option is la completa, which is the daily protein plus two sides.

Once you pick your main course you also get to choose an alcoholic beverage between a domestic beer, the house wine or a daiquiri. For only $11.95, you’ll be full and happy!

Rivertail to Open in Broward

The Food Comma Group is proud to announce Chef Jose Mendin’s first seafood-driven concept, Rivertail, planned to open in October 2019 in downtown Fort Lauderdale. In the space formerly inhabited by Briny’s Irish Pub, the five-time James Beard Award semifinalist and his team will launch a chef-driven concept featuring coastal comfort cuisine, fresh from Florida produce, and locally caught, sustainable seafood specialities.

From small plate selections such as Crab Donuts and Lobster Flautas, to “Sharing is Caring” family-style dishes including The Rivertail Seafood Boil and Moqueca Mista, the menu will showcase items inspired by fish houses and oyster bars from coast to coast.

Rivertail will serve lunch and dinner, and focus on providing guests a fun, upbeat atmosphere that is refined, yet approachable enough for families. Additionally, inspired by Food Comma’s partner, Breakwater Hospitality, Rivertail will offer late night dining, bar and lounge seating for riverfront happy hours, and a full raw bar.

 

La Petite Maison Debuts Executive Lunch

La Petite Maison Miami, the global brand’s first expansion into the United States, is the home of fresh and light French Mediterranean and Niçoise inspired cuisine. Chef Patron Raphael Duntoye is proud to introduce Dejeuner D’affaires, a new executive lunch menu, available Monday through Friday from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Parties of six or fewer will be able to experience the new offerings for just $29++ per person. An extensive wine selection with an emphasis on French wines and rosés from Provence will be available for patrons looking for a sophisticated lunch.

The menu will feature ingredient-forward dishes and will rotate seasonally to ensure the freshest ingredients are used. Guests will indulge in two starters, such as the Petits Farcis Niçois, veal stuffed Mediterranean vegetables; Saumon Finement Tranché, salmon carpaccio with guacamole; and Ratatouille et Feta, Mediterranean vegetables marinated in olive oil with feta.

For the main course diners can enjoy Gnocchi à la Tomate Fraîche, gnocchi with cherry tomato, garlic and parmesan; Poisson en Croûte de Sel de Guérande, salt baked redfish fillet with artichokes and tomatoes; Coquelet au Citron Confit, roasted baby chicken marinated in lemon. Side dishes will also be available for $4.50, including sautéed broccoli, green beans and french fries. End your meal on a sweet note for an additional $8 with a variety of desserts, like cheesecake, apple tart with vanilla ice cream and sorbet of the day.


New Menu at Palme d’Or

The Biltmore Hotel, a national historic landmark established in 1926, member of the Leading Hotels of the World and iconic luxury hotel in the heart of the exclusive area of Coral Gables, announced today a new a la carte menu and dining experience at its AAA Five Diamond restaurant, Palme d’Or.

With a farm to table approach, the experienced team at Palme d’Or brings together fresh, local and sustainable ingredients to classic French recipes utilizing modern techniques to ensure every guest feels something both new and nostalgic.

Fresh off the heels of a successful soft launch during Miami Spice 2019, the new menu offers the flexibility of an a la carte menu, with more indulgent portions. The result is traditional French cuisine with a contemporary twist and a more generous approach that is in line with the restaurant’s renowned quality service and authenticity. The restaurant will also unveil a new pre fixe six-course tasting menu in October.

The new menu includes Palme d’Or favorites such as Seared Foie Gras, Pan Seared Dover Sole Roulade and Jackman Ranch Wagyu Filet Mignon, as well as fresh additions like Cucumber Cobb, Grilled Colorado Lamb Chop and Madagascar Jumbo Prawns.
