Monthly Beer Series at Corsair

Sip and savor with JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa’s celebrated return of local monthly beer dinner series Crafted by Corsair at Corsair Kitchen & Bar. For craft beer enthusiasts and gourmands alike, this monthly event promises unparalleled culinary delights paired with quaffs from South Florida’s most acclaimed microbreweries in a relaxed, sophisticated environment in the restaurant’s private dining room.

The first dinner will take place on Thursday, March 3 at 7:30PM featuring select pours from Wynwood Brewing, the first craft production brewery to open in Wynwood, located in the heart of Miami’s Arts District. Brews will be paired with a 4-course menu meticulously crafted by Corsair Kitchen & Bar’s Executive Chef Gordon Maybury and Chef de Cuisine Derrick Connor.

The evening gets underway with a La Rubia Beer Welcome Cocktail. Enjoy the first course of Sea Bass Crudo with miso, sweet chili, jalapeno, charred pineapple, watercress, garlic chips and seasalt, paired with Wynwood Brewing’s Tarmarindo Sour. The evening continues with Crispy Pork Belly and Duck Confit served with caramel corn pudding, snap peas, orange segments, lemongrass glaze and micro herbs, which is paired with the brewery’s Father Francisco. Third course will feature Grilled Smoked Swordfish with dirty rice, mango melon salad, avocado mousse and pickled chiles, paired with the brewery’s Laces IPA. For the grand finale, indulge in a Flourless Chocolate Lava Cake with Nutella, toasted coconut, banana gelato and topped with chocolate crisp pearls, paired with Pop’s Porter.

The next scheduled dinner in the series will take place on Thursday April 7 and showcase the beers of MIA Brewing. Menu and dates for May and beyond to follow; updated information can be found at www.jwturnberry.com.

Crafted by Corsair dinners will begin at 7:30PM and are priced at $65 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Seating is limited; reservations are required and can be made by calling (786) 279-6800.

 

National Margarita Day Specials

On Tuesday, February 22nd, Clevelander South Beach – the epicenter of Miami Beach’s nightlife and an Art Deco classic is offering visitors to sip on the signature Famous Frozen Deco Margarita on BOGO for $17! Miami Dade residents, don’t forget to take advantage of the 20% discount on food and drinks.

Shuckers Waterfront Bar and Grill is launching a new margarita on the menu – the Cazadores Margarita. So whether you’re coming by land or sea, enjoy a blend of Cazadores Tequila, triple sec, sour mix, and fresh lime for $9 a glass and $39 pitcher. While you’re there, enjoy some local favorites such as the wood-roasted prime rib sandwich, black Chilean mussels, fish tacos, veggie burger, and more.

 

Haochi Pops Up at 1-800-Lucky

Miami’s popular dumpling pop-up, Haochi is making its debut for one-day-only at Wynwood’s Asian Food Hall, 1-800-Lucky. While Haochi might be more notorious for their dumplings, their homemade noodles are just as outstanding. Chef Victoriano Hernandez, aka “Shaggy” will takeover an area of the outdoor patio for The Send Noods Saturday pop-up on Feb. 19th from 12-6 PM. Typically, Haochi sets up shop at Union Beer Store but they will be making a special guest experience at 1-800-Lucky for the day.

The menu will include the below options. As 1-800-Lucky doesn’t take reservations, guests are encouraged to arrive early as these dishes are anticipated to sell out.

Shroom Noodles ($16) – Braised mushrooms, black bean sauce and mushroom soy
Dan Dan Noodles ($18) – Spicy pork, peanut butter sauce and chili Oil
Brisket Noodles ($22) – Coffee & dark soy braised brisket, boiled egg and fresh Herbs

For the perfect pairing, sake buckets featuring 5 cans of Tozai “Night Swim” ($50) will be available from 1-6 PM. Cocktail enthusiasts can also enjoy NEW drinks like a Sake Colada made with Nigori sake, Velvet Falernum. Brugal 1888, matcha tea, coconut cream and pineapple ($13) or Happy Go Lucky 2.0 made with Dobel Diamante Tequila, yuzu, passionfruit, thai chili, agave and lime ($13).

 

Wine Night at Public Square

On Wednesday, February 23, Public Square is having its monthly wine night featuring Boroli, where guests will be able to sample a rotating list of wines, light bites and a live jazz band from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.

Every fourth Wednesday of the month, this local neighborhood gem will offer 4 different types of wines, paired with complementing eats like Filet Mignon Bites. For more information or to RSVP, click here.

 

Fiola Launches New Brunch

Coral Gables’ Michelin-caliber Italian eatery, Fiola has launched a NEW brunch menu. Available on Sundays from 12PM – 2:30PM, Fiola’s new brunch menu showcases an array of regional Italian dishes by Executive Chef Danny Ganem, made with local and seasonal ingredients.

Guests can expect Fiola’s refreshing Amalfi Coast Raw Bar offerings as well as a selection of delicious appetizers, and several crave-worthy pasta dishes. Brunch favorites include Spaghetti Pomodoro, Roman Shell Carbonara, Lasagna Rotolo, Baked Duck Eggs Al Purgatorio, American Wagyu Burger, Charred Spanish Octopus, Steak & Eggs, and Chicken Milanese, among others. Additionally, guests can choose between Domaine Chandon Rose, Brut & Garden Spritz for just $45 per guest or Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut for $80 per guest.
