Cebada Extends Hours for Carnaval on the Mile

Cebada, Coral Gables’ first rooftop restaurant and bar, is opening its doors earlier than usual the weekend of Carnaval on the Mile and hosting two pop-ups. From 12:30pm-3pm on Saturday, March 5th, as well as Sunday, March 6th, Abi Maria Bar & Refuge will be offering a special selection of empanadas and Cuban sandwiches such as pan con lechón, pan con minuta and pan con bistec, to name a few.

On Sunday, The Lazy Oyster, a Miami-based delivery company born during the pandemic, will be the ones shucking bivalves behind Cebada’s oyster bar beginning at 12:30pm. Guests can slurp on premium west or east coast oysters and sip on the cocktail of the day aptly named “Relax, It’s Just An Oyster,” which consists of pineapple juice, lime, agave, cucumber, ginger, serrano peppers and gin. Vodka oysters shooters will also be available.

 

Sips & Scoops at Loews Miami Beach

Enjoy one-of-a-kind cocktail creations made with decadent Salt & Straw ice cream flavors at Bar Collins during SOBEWFF weekend.

Thursday, Feb. 25 through Saturday, Feb. 26 at Bar Collins (starting at 5pm), guests can enjoy:

Ice Cream Old Fashioned with Angel’s Envy Bourbon $16
Featuring Salt & Straw Panther Coffee Chocolate Tres Leches ice cream

Pineapple Upside-Down Martini with Bacardi Ocho Rum $18
Featuring Salt & Straw Roasted Pineapple Coconut sorbet

In addition, the hotel will have Waffles & Scoops daily at Preston’s Market, featuring a homemade waffle a la mode topped with a scoop of Salt & Straw Double Fold Vanilla ice cream. Poolside, guest can enjoy Poolside Scoops on Saturday (starting 1pm) and get a single serve portion of Salt & Straw’s most popular flavors from their iconic ice cream cart while supplies last.

Guests can also enjoy daily specials to coincide with signature SOBEWFF events including 2 Korean Girls’ Galbi for Asian Night Market, the Lure Fishbar 7x winning Bash Burger for Burger Bash, the Tribute Dinner dessert platter on Friday at Bar Collins created by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef Jason Morale, and the hotel’s Southern Brunch offerings will be available Sunday at Preston’s Market.

 

Sexy Fish Launches Lunch

Following the much anticipated grand opening, Sexy Fish Miami is now open for lunch daily, featuring an elevated lunch experience of fresh and light dishes fare among signature dishes and cocktails. Located in the heart of Brickell, guests are invited to dine on Chef Director Bjoern Weissgerber diverse menu inspired by the seas of Asia with a focus on Japan in Miami’s most opulent dining room.

Chef Bjoern has conceptualized a weekday Kuikku menu which translates to “quick” in Japanese, featuring a four course lunch menu of the guests choice including favorites like the Bang Bang Vegetable Salad, Spicy Yellowtail Maki, and Steamed Sea Bass, Cilantro & Chili. Attractively priced at $40 per guest, the Kuikki menu invites diners to feast on a wide variety of Sexy Fish Miami favorites Monday – Friday.

In addition to Chef Bjoern’s Kuikki menu, also available for lunch seven days a week is an a la carte menu offering dishes such as the Quinoa Bowl made with Napa Cabbage, Nashi Pear, and Citrus, as well as Vegan Edamame Gyoza & Szechuan Pepper. Other offerings include the Crispy Duck & Watermelon Salad, Crispy Tofu and the Avocado with Maple Citrus Dressing. Sexy Fish Miami features show-stopping, glamorous interiors inspired by the style and sophistication of a mid-century brasserie and motifs of the ocean including stunning artworks by Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry.
