Now Open: Whitmans Miami

Whitmans New York, with a namesake inspired by the poet Walt Whitman, represents quality, Americana, and a longstanding culinary heritage. The restaurant is now adding to that legacy with a brand new location now open in Miami Beach, FL, in early 2022. The site provides a cozy, intimate setting for locals and visitors alike to grab a burger, enjoy seasonal fare, and relax in an upscale-casual outpost situated on West Avenue.

As an ideal destination for easygoing dinners, fun celebrations and more, Whitmans is a choice spot for happy hour, group meals, or a quick snack. The 1,500 square foot restaurant features a 30 seat indoor dining room, including 8 seats at bar and 15 outdoor seats. Upon entering, patrons will be greeted by Whitmans’ signature décor by Dekar, an interior design firm, which draws its aesthetic from a variety of regional styles.

Whitmans’ menu showcases a substantial array of dishes, all of which reference Americana in one form or another. A renowned highlight item includes the Juicy Lucy. Invented in Minneapolis, MN, this new take on a sandwich features two short rib-beef blend patties pinched together around a scoop of pimento cheese. The result? A sizzling hot medley of delicious flavor.

Additional standouts include: East Villi Cheesesteak, a chip steak, sautéed onions, melted cheese, on toasted hoagie roll; The Hound with applewood smoked bacon infused patty, arugula, smoke gruyere, potato crisps on a potato bun and the Grilled Chicken Club, which features free-range chicken, applewood smoked bacon, Bibb lettuce, tomato, pickles, and special sauce. Wide array of delicious salads and healthy sides are also available. House-made chocolate chip cookies and local ice cream.

Whitmans is located at 959 West Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
