Editor Pizza to Open February 11

From the esteemed Urbanica Hotels team that brought you Miami favorites such as Orilla Bar & Grill at Urbanica Euclid and Minibar at Urbanica Meridian, comes their latest culinary concept, Editor Pizza, at their new Fifth street hotel Urbanica Fifth.

Located on the first floor of the hotel, the restaurant’s sophisticated and sleek design, courtesy of New York’s Home Studios design firm, creates a charming dining experience in the heart of Miami Beach. Driven by the energy of the kitchen and thoughtful build out of the wrap around bar, Editor Pizza is inspired by the stylish New York restaurants of the past that often grazed newspapers and magazine covers.

“We wanted to create a true neighborhood spot with Editor Pizza,” says co-owner Charlie Porchetto. “A restaurant that had the best food, a great atmosphere and energy to match, that our customers knew they could come to any night of the week and have an experience that was second-to-none.”

The menu features an assortment of antipasti and Primi dishes, several pastas and salads, cured meats and more alongside a variety of pizzas in two styles; Romana and New York. Both are made from the purest of Italian flours, with the Romana personal sized square 8”, and the sourdough New York style pizza available as a 16’’ pie to share.

Standout dishes include the Spaghetti alle Vongole ($22), Melanzane alla Parmigiana ($16), Branzino al Forno ($38), and over ten pizzas to choose from such as the ‘Nduja ($20) and decadent Truffle ($45) with Mozzarella cheese, Mozzarella di Buffalo, For di Latte, and of course black truffle. Along with its dinner service, the restaurant is also open for breakfast daily, with items including the Eggs in Purgatory (baked eggs in tomato sauce – $12), Milk bread French Toast ($16), and a fresh made Frittata with Zucchini and Goat cheese ($15).

Guests may travel to Editor Pizza for the food, but they’ll stay for the dessert, drinks and atmosphere. The thoughtfully curated cocktail list features an assortment of riffs off Italian classics, including a Negroni, Italian Old Fashioned, and Aperol Spritz, with the mixology team from Urbanica has adding their own signature flair with unique creations such as the How Ya Doin’ ($14) with El Silencio Mezcal, Watermelon, and Basil Leaf, and a Caffe Shakerato ($15) – their take on a espresso martini. The restaurant and bar will have DJs, live music, and weekly programming kick off on a rotating basis.

The Seltzer Shop Pops Up at The Confidante

The Seltzer Shop, a first-of-its-kind pop-up and complimentary experience, will open inside The Confidante Miami Beach, a vibrant oceanfront oasis with mid-century modern design, Thursday, February 17, 2022 through Thursday, March 20, 2022. After success in Chicago, the experiential pop up is bringing its throwback vibes to Miami Beach and invites guests to sip and enjoy multiple seltzer brands in a nostalgic soda shop setting.

Opening Thursday, February 17, 2022 through Sunday, March 20 2022, the pop-up is available for reservations Wednesday through Sunday from 2 to 7 PM with three seating times: 2 PM, 3:45 PM and 5:30PM. Hotel guests and the public are able to reserve the complimentary experience on OpenTable. Each reservation is one and a half hours and includes either a curated tasting flight or a flight of four tastings from one brand. Guests can purchase cans while at the shop as well.
