Brugal 1888 Pops Up at Irma’s

On October 13 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Brugal 1888 will host its next “Wonders Await at La Ventanita” pop up at Irma’s at W South Beach, in celebration of Miami’s tropical lifestyle, coffee culture and love for exceptional craft cocktails. La Ventanita is a sensory tasting experience that unveils the magic behind the distillery to cocktail process and how 130 years of rum mastery translates into a unique spirit. Guests can enjoy live music and passed small bites while sipping on craft serves, such as the Brugal 1888 Espresso Martini and Daquiri, prepared by Irma’s expert mixology team.

 

Coming Soon: Plum Market Aventura

Plum Market, a service-forward grocer that promotes organic and locally sourced food and beverage, is set to open its doors this November in Aventura with a new grocery shopping experience for South Floridians. The full-service neighborhood market features all natural, organic, specialty and locally sourced products, with a fast casual dining component.

The Plum Market store promises peak of season produce, grocery and apothecary essentials, all natural and sustainably sourced meats and seafood, and chef crafted prepared dishes made from fresh, all natural ingredients. Locally sourced artisan baked goods, specialty candies, and fresh cut floral are also available alongside an incredible selection of wine and craft beer.

The independently owned chain of full-service grocery stores has a strong commitment to the local communities they serve. Plum Market makes a tremendous effort to support local growers, artisans and makers and displays signage that highlights how many miles each local product has traveled to reach the store. This not only helps guests support local brands but also ensures that the freshest and best quality products are offered, including seasonal produce, artisan breads and pastries, and dock-fresh seafood.

Located 17801 Biscayne Blvd. in Aventura, the 22,600 sq ft store will engage 125 Team Members and feature more than 100 local brands, including favorites McGregor’s Greens, BarbaCuban, The Empanada Girl, Sullivan Street Bakery, Mother Kombucha, Ella’s Flats, Laura’s Gourmet Granola, Cigar City, Fullei Fresh, Wish Farms and Funky Buddha Brewery, just to name a few. It will also be the first grocery location on the East Coast to sell Norman Love Confections & Baked Goods, the popular Florida-based internationally renowned chocolatier. Guests will also enjoy fresh sustainable sushi made on-site, crave worthy meals-to-go, and a full take away catering menu.

 

National Taco Day at Bar Collins

Bar Collins at Loews Miami Beach Hotel is offering two unique tacos for National Taco Day that celebrate the traditional taco while weaving in international flavors:

Wagyu Short Rib Taco – 48 hour slow cooked wagyu short rib in a house made heirloom blue corn tortilla, dressed with caviar, black truffle salsa macha and topped with crispy potato

Smoked Crispy Rock Shrimp Taco – served on a house made heirloom blue corn tortilla with shaved cabbage, avocado, chipotle passion fruit salsa, lime crema and shaved radish

Both will be available on Tuesday, October 4th for lunch and dinner service.

 

New Wraps at Carrot Express

Miami’s fan-favorite healthy eatery, Carrot Express has dropped not one, but TWO new wraps. Starting TODAY, all locations will offer the following:

Turkey Bacon Power Wrap ($14.95) filled with 3 egg-whites, turkey bacon, spinach, cremini mushrooms, scallions, avocado and jack cheese

Beyond Meat Wrap ($15.95) stuffed with crumbled beyond meat, kale seasoned brown rice, black beans, avocado, sweet plantains and pico de gallo.

Both items are available on a toasted whole wheat or gluten-free wrap (+$2.50). Most recently, the wholesome and wellness driven concept has opened in West Kendall. By mid October, the nourishing hub will debut in Pembroke Pines, South Miami, Bryant Park (NYC) and River Landing.
