Gina is 9 years old and a total love bug. Her owner passed away, and the family left her at Animal Control. She’s a mellow, snuggly, cuddly girl who gives LOTS of kisses and is house-trained!

The vet says it’s obvious she was well cared for, but she does have severe arthritis in her hips and knees which slows her down a bit. She’s on anti- inflammatories and a pain medication to help her feel better. She is up and walking around a bit now, but does need to be watched around stairs.

Her perfect family is one where they are around often, not away from the house for more than 2-3 hours, no young children, and are able to keep up with her therapy as they work through this arthritis together.

Proof Pizza & Pasta: A Midtown Miami Treasure

By now, odds are that you’ve heard of Proof Pizza & Pasta. The Midtown Miami restaurant has quietly made its name for itself since opening its doors almost one year ago. The Neopolitan pizzeria was most recently named Best Restaurant in Midtown/Design District by Miami New Times, adding to its long list of local accolades.

After experiencing the food and service for ourselves, we saw what the fuss was about. We just had to talk to Chefs Justin Flit and Matt Depa about the restaurant and find out their story. So we did.

Here at Miami Food Pug, eating is just one of our many passions. Another big one is traveling.

I recently went to Washington D.C. to visit some old friends and see the sights. In between the requisite sightseeing, I ate – a lot. Belgian food, Mediterranean food, donuts… a little of everything. If you’re traveling to D.C. anytime soon, I highly recommend you swing by the following places. You’ll be glad you did.
