Red Fish by Chef Adrianne to Open This Fall

Chef Adrianne Calvo, known for her successful namesake Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Cracked by Chef Adrianne, her fine-casual concept, as well as a series of cookbooks including the recently released, The A List Vol. 1 and 2., has announced that she will take over the former Red Fish Grill Restaurant. The fully renovated Red Fish by Chef Adrianne will open later this Fall.

The only waterfront restaurant in Coral Gables is located at 9610 Old Cutler Road in the historic Matheson Hammock Park. The restaurant will feature New American Seafood, with a menu that offers a “wake up” of old fish house classics.


Beer Yoga at Veza Sur Brewing Co.

On Saturday, September 7th get your zen on as you’re guided through a vinyasa flow by instructor Stephanie Diaz (@thecookierunner). This FREE event will have yogis sipping on beers while holding specific structures and poses.

Perfect for both beginners and yogi experts, this fun, interactive class will have you feeling powerful, stress-free, and ready for more cervezas! RSVP here.


Zest Brings Back Carnival Nights

Zest Miami is launching a vibrant dinner party and you’re invited! Carnival Nights, sponsored by Jim Beam and Cruzan Rum, is intended for all to explore, dance, and indulge in Caribbean flavors and sound. Patrons will meet Cindy Hutson and be treated to a Carnival inspired buffet featuring over 10 flavorful items.

The dinner menu will consist of a 10-plate course including a Caja China pork roast, Brown Stew Chicken, West Indian Curried Vegetables, Fresh Catch Run Down to name a few – all for $45.00pp, including a friendly welcome drink to start off. If you decide not to dine $8.00pp, drink only.

Cocktails are always a must and Zest has you covered as they greet guests with “The Beach Bum,” a delicious tropical cocktail with Cruzan Rum, coconut, lime juice, mango, passion fruit, nectar and mint. It gets better! Carnival Nights will also help those looking to start the evening right by getting the party going with bottle service in one of their private lounges.


Wine Dinner at BLT Prime

BLT Prime Doral continues its partnership with honored vintners to host the third of six interactive wine dinners that showcase the best in food and global wine in an intimate setting. On Tuesday September 10, BLT Prime’s Chef de Cuisine Tim Elmore will present a menu perfectly paired with Ricasoli wines of Chianti Classico.

Dinner will begin at 7:30PM in the Nicklaus Private Dining Room at BLT Prime Trump National Doral. A vineyard representative along with Chef Elmore will provide tasting notes and take guests on a one-of-a-kind journey to explore the flavor profiles and components of the pairing.

Snail Social at The Jim & Neesie

Slow Food Miami is back for the season and will present the first “Snail Social” roaming Happy Hour event on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM hosted by The Jim And Neesie At Generator Miami.

For September’s Snail Social, guests will enjoy passed bites at the poolside bar including fritters with jamon, beef skewers with Thai chili sauce, spicy corn, citrus roasted carrots, charred romanesco and one complimentary frozen welcome cocktail. Guests that stay for dinner can take advantage of their $39 Miami Spice dinner menu and will receive an additional 15% off of their check.

This event is open to the public; $15 suggested donation in advance, $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased here. First-time student and teacher sponsored tickets are available – those interested can send a message to Slow Food Miami on Facebook or Instagram. All proceeds will go toward our Edible School Garden program.


Guest Chef Dinner at Mignonette

When James Beard Award-winning chef Stephen Stryjewski of New Orleans’ Cochon, Butcher, Pêche Seafood Grill, Gianna, La Boulangerie and Calcasieu stepped into the kitchen of Mignon-ette back in 2015 it was a sold-out affair. The famous chef from the Crescent City is returning to the Magic City for a one-night-only guest chef dinner with Mignonette chef/owner Danny Serfer on Tuesday, September 10.

Served family style, the three-course dinner will be limited to 60 guests, priced at $75 per per-son (excluding beverage, tax & gratuity) or $85 per person for a bottomless draft brews up-grade (excluding tax & gratuity).
