Since opening last March, The Anderson’s menu has remained constant. For over a year, guests of the Upper East Side bar have enjoyed delicious drinks paired with a food menu by ex-Vagabond Chef Alex Chang. With Chang long gone, the local watering hole has revamped their food and drink selections for the first time. Here’s a closer look.
Let’s get right to it: The Wynwood Yard now is not the Wynwood Yard that opened late last year — it’s come a long way. Since opening in November, the outdoor space has undergone a massive face lift, turning into something so much more than an incubator for culinary concepts. Over the months, the venue has hosted everything from concerts to professional workshops and fitness classes — to name a few.
In March, The Wynwood Yard announced a bevy of additions and revisions, including new vendors and partnerships. Before our visit a few weeks back, the last time we were at the Yard was early December. We hardly recognized the place when we walked in this time around — and neither will you. We’re happy to see that the place has worked out its opening kinks and finally found its footing.
Here’s a quick peek at what you can expect during your next visit to the Wynwood Yard.
If you haven’t noticed, we go out to eat a lot. It’s sometimes hard to keep track of the best spots we’ve visited each month (and week and day). That’s why we’ve decided to put together a monthly list of our top picks. You can expect restaurants both young and old on this list — we’re always discovering new spots on our foodie adventures.
Here are our top picks for March 2016.
Tucked away to the side of Fado Irish Pub is a cozy little bar known as the Confession Box. The watering hole’s color scheme — bright blue with white tile and purple lights — stands in stark contrast to the earth tones of neighboring Fado.
For more than a year now, Confession Box has been serving up tasty craft cocktails and small bites to visitors looking for something a little different. We sat down with Fado/Confession Box Bar Manager J.R. Baal to talk about the concept, the bar program and future plans.
