Looking Back on ExperienceSOFI 2017
When most people think of South Beach, the South of Fifth neighborhood probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Unlike crowded spots like Lincoln Road and its surrounding areas, South of Fifth is a lot more chill — but that doesn’t mean they can’t party.
Each year, we look forward to the annual SoFi culinary tour put together by the team behind South Beach Seafood Festival. ExperienceSOFI was a fun way to discover (or in our case, rediscover) all the different restaurants that call the neighborhood home. Here’s a closer look at this year’s festivities.
SAAM at SLS Brickell: Good Times Await

Great drinks will only get you so far in Brickell. With so many bars and lounges in the financial district, visitors have seemingly limitless options for a good time. But SAAM at SLS Brickell isn’t just another lounge — it’s much more than that. By pairing memorable cocktails AND bites in a space that just exudes “cool,” the indoor/outdoor venue will quickly become one of your favorite Brickell haunts.
Steak 954: A Stellar Brunch With a Stellar View
When it comes to brunch, there are several things that separate great spots from mediocre ones. We love big menus, stiff drinks and great views. At Stephen Starr’s Steak 954 inside W Fort Lauderdale, the weekend brunch has all of that — and more. If it’s a fantastic meal you want, it’s a fantastic meal you’ll get.
Le Zoo: A Delicious Way to Spend Your Weekend
Brunch is one of our favorite meals for two reasons: 1) It’s a sign of the weekend and 2) It’s delicious. At Le Zoo, the Stephen Starr restaurant inside Bal Harbour Shops, that second reason is especially true. The French brasserie injects the mid-day meal with Parisian flair and European flavors that will have you wishing the weekend didn’t have to end.
