The Local Craft Food & Drink isn’t the same place it was a year ago. If you haven’t visited the Coral Gables American gastropub recently, it’s time you did. Why? Because Chef Phillip Bryant is in charge.
#FindMeAHomeFriday: Mac – Bourbon Steak
Trio of Seasonal Sorbet Mini “Pops” from Bourbon Steak in Aventura
This is Mac! He is house-trained, crate-trained and loves to go on walks. He gets along great with animals of all kinds – dogs, cats, goats, tortoises and children too! Mac loves outings such as going to the beach at night or the dog park.
He would be great in a home with other pets and/or a family with children. And for sure he would do well with a family that has someone who works from home. For more information on this peppy pug, visit his adoption page.
#FindMeAHomeFriday is a campaign by Compassionate Pug Rescue and Miami Food Pug to help South Florida pugs find a forever home. Each Friday in September, we will be photoshopping a rescue pug available for adoption into an MFP food picture. For more details on the original campaign, visit the campaign page.
El Carajo International Tapas & Wine: A Tasty Spanish Brunch That Won’t Break the Bank
“Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Those are some wise words, and they ring especially true for El Carajo, a stellar dining location hidden inside an unassuming gas station.
Byblos Miami: Well Worth the Wait
Byblos and Miami Food Pug have a history. We’ve been following this popular Toronto restaurant for months now; when we first found out a Miami outpost was coming, the place was scheduled to open in March. So yeah, we’ve been waiting a while.
A few weeks back, the media invite arrived and we found ourselves in the former Catch space at 1545 Collins Avenue. Would Byblos’s Eastern Mediterranean fare impress us after all these months?
#FindMeAHomeFriday: Niko – Bianco Gelato
Pineapple Peppermint Granita from Bianco Gelato in Coconut Grove
Meet Niko! His former family left him at the shelter in bad shape. He had a large growth on his eyelid, dental disease, and spinal problems. But CPR got the growth removed and his teeth cleaned. He’s a sweet, laidback man. He’s a bit protective of his food so he gets fed in his crate. For more information on this chill pug, visit his adoption page.
