Nothing can keep us from good pasta — not even the recent construction on the MacArthur Causeway. We braved the hellish beach traffic in search of delectable Italian cuisine, and we found it at Fratelli La Bufala.

Italian restaurants may be a dime a dozen in Miami, but there aren’t many that can actually stand the test of time (or our palates). There’s a reason this place has been around since 2005.

When Federal Donuts closed earlier this year, we were bummed. Not just because we lost some great donuts, but also because we lost some damn good fried chicken. Thankfully, Le Chick in Wynwood — just a stone’s throw away from FedNuts — is doing an exceptional job filling that void (and more).

Pilo’s Street Tacos: A Brickell Gem

Last month, we spoiled ourselves with tacos in San Diego. It seemed like a good decision at the time, but trying our favorite Mexican dish over on the West Coast made us realize what we were missing over here in Miami. There’s no comparison: San Diego tacos — especially fish tacos — just taste better.

Coming back to South Florida, we weren’t sure we’d find anything close to the quality we experienced. Pilo’s Street Tacos in Brickell proved us wrong.

Azabu Brings Michelin-Starred Cuisine to South of Fifth

Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood is home to some of our favorite restaurants, and now we can add another one to the list: Azabu Miami Beach. The New York-based Michelin-starred sushi restaurant has opened a new outpost inside Stanton South Beach, joining Lolo’s Surf Cantina in providing locals and visitors an assortment of delectable fare.

Ameliaā€™s 1931: A Home Away From Home

Only a few things can compel us to visit West Kendall during weekday rush hour. One of those things is Eileen Andrade’s food. The chef, of Finka Table & Tap fame, has opened a new restaurant just a few blocks away from her original eatery.

Unlike the monstrous Finka, Amelia’s 1931 is a much more intimate affair. But just like its larger sibling, this new Cuban diner is a culinary force to be reckoned with.
